Not using barometer for elevation data?

Recent versions of OruxMaps generate elevation data that is very noisy. It looks as if Orux is using elevation data from the GPS system rather than the barometer in my Tempo Disc. This did not happen with older versions of Orux.

For example, here is a plot of the elevation data from a hike I did 7 Sep 2023. In the GPX file, the initial <gpx> tag includes: creator="OruxMaps v.10.1.8 GP with Barometer".

Here is the same hike done 6 May 2024. The initial <gpx> tag includes: creator="OruxMaps v.10.6.1 GP with Barometer". Notice how noisy this data is compared to the 2023 plot. This looks like elevation data as it comes from the GPS system; it is much noisier than I would expect from a barometric elevation.

Orux is configured to use my Tempo Disc device. It is successfully connecting to the device, because the saved GPX file includes temperature data at every track point.

My orux settings include:
Sensors > GPS settings
    Smooth the altitude: on
    Barometer for elevation: on
    Barometer autocalibration: on, method GPS
Sensors > Thermometer/Hyugrometer/Barometer BTLE
    Beacons: configured
Tracks/Routes > GPX settings
    Export sensors data: Temperature
    Altitude algorithm: Point to Point
    Smooth the altitude: on
    Smoothing level: 8

This looks like a bug to me, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks,
