You can use mobac to create an offline map for oruxmaps, it supports the feature of uploading a track and downloading only the tiles that are on a specified distance from the track.

Speaking about mobac, has anything been changed recently with oruxmaps betas?
With the latest releases I am not able to load a map I made with mobac last year.
The same map loads and displays correctly with the normal version of oruxmaps.

With the latest betas I can not seem to be able to display a certain offline map I created with mobac from google maps featuring several omc2 tiles.
With the stable version 7.0.2 the map loads and displays correctly.

Is it possible to change the date of the layer that an online map is accessed?
As for example in the case of google earth where, when using google earth, you can change the date that the sat photos were taken?
Can we add several instances of the same map in onlinmapsources.xml pointing to different dates?

Is there a way to temporarily change the shading of raster maps, something like 'night mode' in certain gps apps?
I have some maps with quite bright colors which make navigation a bit difficult and I was wondering if there is an easier way than altering the colors of the original original image from the beginning, before converting it to an orux map file.

Is there a way to select a smaller map area and create a new mapfile out of a large OruxMapsImages.db file?

Would a similar device based on NRF51802 chip also work, or is it 51822 only?

As oruxmaps by default uses the cache first and does not download a new map, is there any way of quick refreshing the current map so that weather maps can be more useful?

What are the current options for using marine maps with orux?

I've succesfully transfered old Maptech raster charts from kap/bsb to oruxmaps but are there any ways to use vector maps?

I've read about ways to using C93 vector maps to orux, but you have to convert them to images first.



What about navionics? They have recently changed their api and I believe it is not free anymore, but has anyone got any luck using their maps in orux?
