Title: Loading .tif maps files into OruxMaps
Post by: jim301 on June 27, 2023, 07:27:48 PM
I am having difficulty getting a geoTIF map to show up in OruxMaps. The map was geo-referenced using QGIS and loads fine into apps like Avenza but does not show up in the Offline map list in OruxMaps. I copied the map into "storage/emulated/0/oruxmaps/mapfiles" as I have done with other .tif files (downloaded USGS maps for example) which work fine. I tried "Reset map listing" to no effect. Suggestions as to how to fix this issue would be appreciated. Here is the information on the map (from GDAL):

Maps made with QGIS can be displayed in Oruxmaps if the map is exported as a PDF instead of a TIFF. It may be necessary to change the CRS to EPSG:4326. Click the CRS box at bottom right of screen. Select Geographic (2D) and WGS84 EPSG:4326. Ensure the Create Geospatial PDF box is ticked.
