Title: OruxMaps and BRouter
Post by: buizerd on December 22, 2013, 12:26:30 PM
Hi, OruxMaps and BRouter is a splendid combination for trekking, but I have a question/remark.

-1- Is it possible to set the default for the "search route" to:

 - Foot – shortest – BRoute(offline) -

Or, set the default to the last settings.

-2- When I calculate a route with this settings the calculated route gives in the "statistics" a zero(0) length. Export and import the route the length is there.

Used: Nexus7(2012); Android 4.4.2; OruxMaps 5.5.14; Brouter 0.9.6

That can certainly only solved by Orux.

But can you tell me your brouter setup? In what directory did you set brouter and which files are imcluded?

Hi, Uli

I use:

storage/sdcard0/brouter/BRouter.apk

storage/sdcard0/brouter/modes/*_serviceconfig.dat  (6x)

storage/sdcard0/brouter/modes/*_rawtrack.dat  (3x)

storage/sdcard0/brouter/profiles2/lookups.dat

storage/sdcard0/brouter/profiles2/trekking.dat  (I will use BRouter only for trekking)

storage/sdcard0/brouter/segments2/E5_N50.rd5

I pick after start BRouter: trekking/Server-Mode/  foot_short and foot_fast

(also here it will be nice if the marks are equal to the last setting)

Thank you very much.

Now I understand a bit better what I need for brouter.

Unfortunately I can't download E5_N50.rd5 The site is blocked.

Do you know an alternativ?

Without that data brouter will not work.

Sorry to bother you. It is always good to read before asking.

The link http://h2096617.stratoserver.net/brouter/segments2

offers all the segments.

Sorry again but I was on the wrong url.

It would be great if anyone provide BRouter instalation manual for dummies.

I've Installed application from google store and from application page from zip file

http://brensche.de/brouter_bin/brouter_0_9_9.zip

In both cases application crash at very first run so there is no folder initialisation

What to do in case like this?

Please help

Is it possible to change the preset of OruxMaps routing planner? i'd like to have the BRouter as default instead of MapQuest on the right side of the routing planner.

On the left side I don't need the 'Car'-Option. This is only a test version an not usefully. Is it possible to reduce the options?

Hi Orux,

is it possible to change the positions of these buttons?

(//%3C/s%3E%3CURL%20url=%22http://www.adfc-bergstrasse.de/extern/old.png%22%3Ehttp://www.adfc-bergstrasse.de/extern/old.png%3C/URL%3E%3Ce%3E)

It should be better if the execution button (the blue) is at the outside position. Because it is better to use on small displays (or with gloves).

Hi,

Just wondering if there is anything going on relating to brouter integration?

Mostly oruxmaps+brouter combination is working really great, but there are still few small but annoying things when using it everyday.

1. Default routing tool (and profiles)

For me current version (V6.5.10 Donate) is showing graphopper as default routing tool and I can't find any way to change this to brouter.

As a very easy fix for this, could oruxmaps just remember last used routing tool and routing profile?

2. Allowing use to all available profiles from brouter.

This is related to other thread also: http://www.oruxmaps.com/foro/viewtopic.php?t=3750

Currently I have to use these 6 default profiles. This means that I have to remember that foot -> shortest is actually made for mountain walking, when food-fast is for skiing... It's not a problem if I'm doing it everyday, but after little break I really can't remember what was what...

Best solution is of course dynamically get all active profiles what are configured to brouter.

I can see few choices:

a) If there is API which can be used to ask available profiles from brouter, this would be fine.

b) Use the brouter's serviceconfig.dat file (inside /brouter/modes/). There are listed all available profiles like:

foot_fast deepsnow-skiing
foot_short mountain-walking

Second name is actual profile "file" used inside brouter, so I can rename it as I like. Grabbing this and showing it as routing profile inside oruxmaps could be one solution.

c) If choice a or b are not possible to implement, just allowing to rename profiles inside oruxmaps will make using them lot of easier.

it is not possible now, I will add an option to remember the last values selected,

Something new?

This is for me the most (and only) missing function.

Always Graphopper and car.

I need only brouter and bicycle.

Hi,

did you tried the last version?

In my "7.3.2rev2" OruxMaps remembers the last used settings.

Even after phone restart, i see pre-selected, what i i used before.

Yes, this feature is implemented now. We say in Germany "What lasts long will be good".

Thanks to Oruxmaps programmer.

Hello,

where can I find infos to use NoGo areas with BRouter under Oruxmaps?
I would like to use thisfunction.

Alternatively there is also GraphHopper offline. Is there a description of how I can use GraphHopper offline?

It's not included in the manual...
