May 31, 2016, 05:18:25 PM
Quote from: "oilbol".... the "Mapsforge Theme" option is not shown.

Possibly you have not yet loaded an offline Mapsforge Map?

That menue is only visible, once such a map is loaded.

GENERAL / Re: brouter search limitation
May 31, 2016, 11:31:08 AM
Same symptom here:

OruxMaps 6.5.7: when attempting to set/add the 6th point i get the message about "max 5 points".

But with my OM 6.5.8beta2, installed on same phone, i can add 10 or 20 points, no problem.

And my 6.5.7 and 6.5.8beta2 make use of the same brouter routingfiles, openandromaps, themes, etc.

hmmm...

BETAS / Re: New 6.5.8beta version
May 24, 2016, 08:01:16 AM
Hello,

i have now 6.5.8.beta1 parallell to 6.5.7 on my Oneplus One  with Android 6.0.1 (Cyanogen OS 13.0)

But...

1.

In contrast to other betas in the past, this beta did not took over my customized settings from my "productive" Oruxmaps

2.

When i go to "Switch map", "OFFLINE",  refresh: the beta is not finding my offline maps.

If i go to "Global settings", "maps": Maps directory points correctly to /storage/emulated/0/oruxmaps/mapfiles/ (same and default as in my OM 6.5.7); an attempt to navigate to a different directory leads to an endless "Loading..." pop-up.

3.

Button "GPS tracking on": The little icon on top left appears but 6.5.8.beta1 is not finding position

UPDATE 3 hours later:

After checking/comparing the App settings/permissions within Android 6 for OM 6.5.7 and 6.5.8.beta1 i noticed that all 6 permissions (contacts, SMS, storage, ...,) were disabled in the beta; after enabling that, all is OK now.

GENERAL / Re: Xiaomi Mi Band works with Oruxmaps

Quote from: "msev"Did you maybe test the accuracy of the band vs some "blood pressure monitor"?  :D

I compared it with a "blood pressure monitor" for home-use, one which you wrap around wrist & press button, then it blows-up and releases air again.... variance to the "Xiaomi Mi Band 1S" was +/- 5
Quote from: "msev"Where did you buy it?

Ordered at GearBest: 22. April; arrived in Germany: 7. May

Price was 14,78€ for "Xiaomi Mi Band 1S" and one additional "Rubber Watch Band Strap"

Hi,

that's really nice, my "Xiaomi Mi Band 1S" just arrived a few days ago, directly from China.

Using the official "Mi Fit" app 2.0.0 from GooglePlay.

And created a shortcut to start Mi Fit in running mode, as described by drfie above, i just use a differenent app:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sika524.android.quickshortcut">//https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sika524.android.quickshortcut

I can record now my heartrate within OruxMaps, in addition to my normal gps track recording, interesting stats.

 :D

During the next days, i will have a closer look how long the battery of the Mi Band lasts.

First test indicates, that battery of the band is losing 10% during a 2h bike ride with continously pulse rate measurement.

Thanks to drfie!

Hi,

regarding "2. The dynamic installation of maps and themes from http://www.openandromaps.org">http://www.openandromaps.org does not work anymore", i noticed the same for maps.

OruxMaps 6.5 on a OnePlus One (has no external sd card):

Map Install directly from http://www.openandromaps.org">http://www.openandromaps.org starts downloading, but then the actual map is not appearing in the folder "mapfiles". Only a file andromaps_locus.zip appears there. So i download zipped files manually and extract the *.map by hand....

However direct install of Elevate3 Theme from openandromaps.org is working fine for me. I actually deleted everything within directory "mapstyles" before, as i had some old themes with subdirectories there.

MAPAS/MAPS / Re: How to add more maps?
February 01, 2015, 12:08:51 PM
Hi,

your question related to MOBAC together with the subject "How to add more maps?" is a bit misleading in this forum...

But coming to your question.

You will not find "OruxMaps Sqllite" as a MapSource in MOBAC.

"OruxMaps Sqllite" is just one of many desired output formats.

If you create a new atlas in MOBAC ("Atlas content"->New), you can selct the output format there.

BTW. i have not used MOBAC for a while, because i simply use maps and themes from http://www.openandromaps.org/en/">//http://www.openandromaps.org/en/

The best...
