strange, you are right.
Opening an *.kml from my dropbox with oruxmaps works.

in v9, in settings->"App storage" you see then these settings and options like "Migrate to Ext. SD" or "Android 11 data migration".
The "Android 11 data migration" is greyed out for me now, as i did that at first start of v9.

i have a lot of my tracks organized in GoogleDrive and/or Dropbox.
I was used to tap on the gpx file,  open it with "OruxMaps GP", and the route was successfully loaded and displayed in OruxMaps.

But now it fails (Orux message: "Error loading route!").
If i copy the same gpx somewhere to the phone storage, i can open/load it fine.

my "9.0.0 GP" came yesterday onto my Android 11.

Starting that v9  first time, a dialogue took care about the new location of \Phone\Android\data\com.orux.oruxmapsDonate\files\oruxmaps\

mapfiles, mapstyles, dem, tracklogs, etc. All was copied over to the new location.

My "old" directory \Phone\oruxmaps\* is still filled, i will remove some big files, e.g. offline maps from "mapfiles", or dem files.
But i think will i keep the directory itself and use it as location for "App files backup".

Hi Uli,
i have a "TicWatch Pro", OruxMaps v9.0.0 GP (since this morning). Phone: Samsung Galaxy A40 (Android 11).

I start Oruxmaps on my phone.
I start recording, and i see my heartrate on my bottom dashboard, altough Orux on watch is not yet started.
Then i start Orux-App on my watch, and see also there the BeatsPerMinute. Values on watch and phone are the same.
I am recording since about 15minutes, and all is ok.

Hello,
I'm really thinking that there is something around the lenght of the track.
I modify a track of 93 km which have "distance indicators" each kilometers.
I add 7 kilometers to bring it to 100 km => the "distance indicators" are now each 5 kilometers. 😒🤔.
Help!

Yes, that has always been the case. <100km: you have these indicators every km; > 100km: every 5km or 25km depending on zoomlevel

maybe i misunderstand you.
But if you look in this forum at https://oruxmaps.org/forum/index.php?board=4.0 you see at the top the pinned subject about the current beta version.
The first post from orux contains info about last beta, as well as the download link.
Keep an eye on the responses, as the beta evolves.

it is not very flexible solution but at least it works

right, the way i did it in the past is really not flexible.
Thanks to @plimboster and @afgb1977 for showing the better solution!

The only way i know, is "Create Waypoint".
There, give it a name, then tap and edit Latitude/Longitude.
Then it is show as a waypoint on the map.

i think this "SMS feature" is grayed out (not available) due to restrictions on Apps coming from the Google Playstore.
Here https://www.oruxmaps.com/cs/en/ i was reading OruxMaps from the Amazon App store is not having that restriction.

Ahaa.
I noticed also today, that my phone locked after some time, while i was recording with OruxMaps. And had to enter my pin to unlock the phone.
I was used to press power button shortly, to wake up screen or make screen black, while oruxmaps is recording. For this  I always had and have "Application"->"Screen always ON" activated.
Now OruxMaps behaves different...
