heart rate from watch?

Even when wearing a watch (Android or Tizen) with heartrate indication,  it is neccessary to wear in addition a breastbelt if one wants

to record the heartrate on  oruxmaps.

It would be very convenient if Oruxmaps could read the heartrate from the watch or from Samsung Health in the device where the heartrate

is already stored.

Is there any chance to add that feature in Oruxmaps?

Hello,
same thing, it would be great to be able to use the galaxy watch with oruxmap! cordially

Uli

Unfortunately I encounter now the same problem with my new Galaxy Watch 4.
Oruxmaps does not fetch the heartrate and show it on the display.
Any idea for a workaround?

What a pity, such a nice watch but no indication of the heartrate on oruxmaps.
Oruxmaps connects to the watch via bluetooth but does not show any values, only ---

It does only work using the OruxMaps Wear app, the watch it is not a standard heart rate sensor.

I have a watch 4, and the app can read heart rate (and barometric pressure to use it as an altimeter).

But I have it installed via adb.

Unfortunately the version of Wear is pending approval by Google. They have become very demanding, and it is very difficult to install apps on Android watches, except using Google Play. They have it very controlled ...

I'm afraid that sounds a bit too complicated for me.
Does that wear version really run on the watch4 ?
Do I understand it right that it is the version 7.4.22 ?
On my tizen watch I used the app "HR and Speed transmitter".
The app broadcasted the HR to the phone and the HR appeared on Oruxmaps.
So far the app was not converted to wear OS.

Is there still hope that there will be an oruxmaps version for the galaxy watch 4?
So far the watch4 is a setback for me with regard to showing the heartrate on my phone.
May be I have to give it a try with adb.

Still fighting with Google.
But if you mail me, and you tell me your email account in google play, I can add you to the testers list. Then I think I can let you try that version,

Thank you very much,
if I get it right, I have to start recording from oruxmaps on the watch.
The watch will start oruxmaps gp on the phone and there I can activate additional  parameters like aprs and
mapmytracks?

I am delighted to see the heart rate now.

I use the wear version on the watch 4 no for some days without a problem.
The heartrate indication on the phone is shown very stabil.
On the watch Orumaps
works only in connection with the phone .
Most important parameters are indicated on the watch too.
On the map of the watch (google maps ?) I see only my current position but no track.
Is it right so far what I noticed?

 One little glitch:
when I start in portait mode, most of the time, the heart rate does not show up on the dashboard,
when I turn then to landscape mode the heartr rate is there.
Going back to portrait mode the heartrate will be there too.
Not a big problem but just to let you know

p.s. I use S21+ 5G now
