I would suggest contacting with the developers of tasker so OM could be included in the 3rd Party action category of Tasker.

This could lead to something interesting indeed. Do you already have some Oruxmaps automation in mind?
This is a cool idea. I have just tested and you can already use the mentioned intents to control the Oruxmaps from the Tasker using the Send Intent action. Only the action field needs to be filled so it's already quite simple.
One could make a task to automatically turn on the logging whey you leave your house, for example.

I use a Tasker like a macro for OM.
My macro is composed by 3 intents:
It works fine until the last update 6.5.0b: in this version OM starts recording and starts only one ANT+ device. When it try to start another device, it returns an error and stops ANT+ function.
