Hello,
This type of mapping application is new to me. Am I able to route my locations to destinations I pick interactively, similar to how I would with Google maps....for example, If I'm driving down a highway in an area I'm unfamiliar with, can i use the app to give me turn-by-turn directions to a spot I pick? Also, do I have to download some sort of extra map in addition to the app to use it?...it's just a little new to me. Thanks in advance

This app is most designed to off-road activities (hiking, bike..). Although oruxmaps can do it by brouter add-on, I advice you other free apps like "Osmand", specially designed for turn by turn navigation.
