I have been using Oruxmaps for a couple of years now, without any serious problems. But recently, orux crashed while tracking with the error message: "OruxMaps GP was stopped". After reopening, the software stops again, immediatetly. There is no chance to stop the track or to activitate any other process because of the immediate crash after opening the software. It seems to me, that I have to reinstall OruxMaps? Or has anybody another idea? Reinstallation would mean to lose some tracks, to lose several adjustements and to invest time without the guarantee of a stable system afterwards...?
OruxMaps 9.6.3 GP is currently installed under Android 8.0 on my smartphone.
I would appreciate, if somebody could provide helpful advices.

Before re-installing, you should first
- stop the application : Go to Apps, select OruxMaps, then "Force stop"
Then restart it. Should be enough.
But if the pb persists :
- Force again stop of Oruxmaps
- Completely stop then restart your smartphone
Only in the case the problem persists after these two tries, maybe you can imagine to re-install OM
thanks for the immediate response and for the recommendations. Unfortunately "forced stopp" even in combination with switching off and a restart of my phone didn´t work. It remains only a reinstallation?
