Hello Orux,
I tried to set different message - text to speech - for "Alarm away from route", but only the default voice working...
... the "1st gps fix" voice changed successfully. (android 4.2)
This function working same way in 7xx, 6xx - beta, and stable (which I tried).
The 5.5.22. is ok.
Thx for answer!

If you want a ringtone you have to unselect the checkbox ''TTS or ringtone'.

I don't understand; when you get back, the alarm stops its sound.

It is simple: (for me) when the warning voice stopped, you are reached the track again.
(Like the aircraft dark cockpit warning theory: no signal > no problem)
imho...
Today it was my first try to follow a route using oruxmaps, it worked as expected - and I have a similar wish:
The route has been created by brouter (really nicely integrated within oruxmaps), and at some locations I decided to use a small different path to follow. As expected I got the warnings. But the warning was repeated over and over again (all 10s for some 100m) I'd like to have either a button to acknowledge my deviation and disabling the warning. Or even better, conforming with wpts, the warning is repeated at most for a limited count (maybe defaulting to 0 meaning infinity for bachwards compatibility). And then I'd like to get a message to confirm "on route again" as soon as i have re-synced to the planned route.
Regards, Michael
it is not clear for me: how do you use om?
-sometime I am walking with dog - the phone is in my pocket (automatic screen on/off mode)
when I have a passed a junction, the om signal warning me, I check the map on screen...
-in the car always screen on, immediatly can see why/when/where left the route
there is a lot of setting for reach the optimal one (position, and width of warning area, maybe a less disturbing voice)
most of phone can mute one, or two click
it is fact, the best personal setting needs a couple of "test journey"
