Title: garmin map zoom
Post by: janr on October 31, 2013, 05:25:17 PM
Hi

Zooming out a garmin map decreases detail level, not always to my wish. How about buttons to increase/decrease detail level?

Thanks

Hi janr,

there are different ways to zoom in OruxMaps (by screen buttons, by volume buttons, by gesture, see Settings > Maps > Zoom settings). If you zoom out by "layer" (by default linked with the screen buttons) the detail level will decrease, by the way not only with garmin maps. If you want to save the detail level while zooming out choose another option for which you have defined a "digital" zoom.

Hi

I zoom in to the area until I see the elevation lines:

Then I want an overview over the area so I zoom out. First I try 'level zoom':

Hmm.. this doesn't help me.

Then I try digital zoom instead, see attachement 'digital zoom'.

A little better, but not useful.

I still think level zoom with the 'increase detail level' would be a useful option.

(I use Airdroid to create the sceen shots)
