Title: 7.2.0 and 7.2.1 APKs both create an install crash
Post by: pumori on December 05, 2017, 06:34:45 PM
Samsung Tab 3, CM13, rooted. When I install the OruxMaps APKs on that tablet the install crashes, the tablet reboots (!) and the boot never terminates. The only way to revive the tablet is to uninstall the app via an adb uninstall command (lucky me...! I had USB debugging on and the adb daemon was obviously already up and running!). Upon the next boot all is well.

I have successfully installed the same APKs (ie the same downloaded files) on a Moto G4 Play were the app works OK.

The biggest difference between those two devices is that the Moto has an ARM CPU whereas the  Samsung has an x86.

EDIT 06/12: I have now installed the 6.5.10 APK on the Samsung, this works well. However, I'd rather have 7.2.x as this is what I have on the phone:-)

Running OruxMaps 7.2.0 successfully on my Samsung Galaxy Tab3 GT-P5210.

Unofficial LineageOS 14.1 (Android 7.1.2) from //https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=169815.

Am also running OruxMaps 7.2.1 on my old Samsung Galaxy S3 phone using LineageOS 14.1.

Hm... I also have the 5210 although with CM13. So perhaps there's an issue with that ROM. I am not overly keen to change ROMs because I have a sackful of apps and reinstalling and, especially, setting them up again is a great hassle.

Perhaps I should do a full nandroid backup and then try to dirty-install the 14.1 version you mentioned over the CM13. Or perhaps I just stay with Oruxmaps 6.5.10 as the tablet is rarely used outdoors anyway.
