Hi orux,
in the old forum bikefrog asked for a solution regarding:I stop at a crossing, the orientation of the map starts to change after a while, because there is no more direction of move from the GPS.
see also://http://oruxmaps.foroactivos.net/t3603-button-for-switching-between-different-map-orientations
6 people recommended with +1.
my suggestion
switch(toggle) automatically to normal map orientation in the handscroll mode.
can we hope for.. in one of the next betas ?
thanks a lot!

Hi;
If the speed drops below 0,25 m/s, the gps given heading is not used to rotate the map.
It is working fine in my devices, but I will check for a solution.

Hi, it works fine also on my device, but still a toggle button would be good.
Sometimes is useful to switch between "direction up" and "north up" and sometimes (in the woods) the gps reception is bad and the direction jumps a lot, making the "direction up" difficult to use.

I asked for this as well ages ago. :-) it is now a lot easier to switch between layouts than it was with the old interface, but a button would be killer.
