Hola,

Una preguntita sobre las betas, ¿es recomendable tener la beta y la alfa instaladas al mismo tiempo? Entiendo q comparten la base y podria dar problemas ¿es asi? Por ejemplo ahora, si creo una carpeta y muevo track desde la beta, q efecto tendria sobre la alfa.

Por cierto, buen trabajo con la creacion de carpetas. ¿Pensaste en lobde poner una estadistica resumen de todos los track de la carpeta?

Comparten la base de datos de tracks, pero no debe haber problemas, las betas/nuevas en todo caso añaden columnas, que no deben afectar a versione anteriores.



Sobre las bases de datos, recuerdo que son ficheros muy sensibles, hay que hacer copias de seguridad de vez en cuando,

i have nice MOBAC map sources as xml, i copy this file to oruxsmapsmapfiles and hit the new SC button, but oruxmaps says: no external online map sources found  :(



please tell us more infos about new functions in oruxmaps.

No, it scans for other map providers, but does not know about how to read MOBAC files; current version knows about external online locus providers.

Hello, thank you for your work as always, here's my feedback for the beta I quickly tried:

I like very much being able to split waypoints in folders;although I don't use waypoints very often myself. I found counter intuitive the folder management anyway, it took many trial and errors to realize how to create a folder.

My opinion: tap the folder (default), then it should list the folders AND add in the list the 'create new' option. Simply there.



As well: being able to import maps will put you into jail. :-).

Her, no, I meant. I would add a entry to the online maps list as well rather than a 'sc'  button. You browse the list, and at its end you find: scan for other sources of online maps from other apps".



Just my opinion. :-)

Hello,

I am new to Oruxmaps and to this forum, but already have a question.

As I understand, until now I must mark each waypoint in the List of Waypoints to be shown on the map everytime I open Oruxmaps.

This is annoying if you have imported a longer series of waypoints, like this here (//http).



Now in BETA 5.5.14 we can organize Wpts in folders. Is it possible to select an entire folder of Wpts, instead of selecting each single Wpt?

From the Manage Routes screen, could do with an option to bulk some tracks to a new folder.



I'd like to move a whole lot of old tracks into a new folder, but can only do this individually from the Edit Properties screen.

I also wonder if you are missing an opportunity by using Folders to arrange the Tracks.



Why not instead use Tags?  Tags work a lot like Folders, but you can allocate a Track to many Tags - #cyclecommute #via:xtown #windy #bike:specialised_thingybike #tyres:gatorskins28/2010



Then you could see all the commutes, all the rides on one bike, in the future if you did stats by Tag you could tell how many miles on these tyres, make a new tag for the next tyres, relegate the old tag, etc.



By relegate, whenever a Tag selection screen is used, it should show current Tags, with the option to expand to show relegated Tags.



Using Tags instead of Folders suddenly turns the system into a gear monitoring tool, sadistic micro-managing tool for crazy geeks.  Or, just use the Tags as a Foldering system.



Other products use Folders, other on-line products have gear mileage monitoring tools, but the one on Strava, for example, only lets you retire a tyre, not put it back on again next summer...



Also, I'd suggest having a default Tag List that's Profile-able so each Track gets the current Tag list and you tweak it when you're done.  Change the tyres- update the Default Tag list.

Por fin las carpetas o ficheros para tracks y waypoints que tanto hemos pedido!!!!! yuuuujuuu!!!



¿Cuándo pondrás la opción de que los waypoints que haya por el mapa se añadan automáticamente al track si pasas a menos de X metros? Y así no hay que andar después acordándote de por donde pasaste e ir a la lista de waypoints y hacer la "modificación masiva".



En la lista de tracks siempre salen ordenados según la fecha de creación en la base de datos. Ésto está bien si todos tus tracks a la primera el orux los graba bien y no hay problemas. Pero cuando un track de 60km, por algún motivo el orux lo graba de 108km y hay que retocarlo en el ordenador para quitar los puntos aberrantes, cuando lo "importas" en el orux, te lo pone el primero de la lista y empiezan a descolocarse. Y entonces siempre tienes que ir a ordenarlos y siempre empieza de modo ascendente. Por lo que hay que recorrerse toda la lista para ver de nuevo el último o bien volver a dar a ordenar y seleccionar "invertir".



Sería útil que si eliges un track, te dé la opción de subirlo/bajarlo "fisicamente" de posición en la base de datos, para que a la siguiente vez, salgan en su sitio.



O que recuerde el método de ordenador elegido anteriormente y que siempre los muestre así.

LO DE LAS CARPETAS NO FUNCIONAAAAA!!!!! SI MUEVO UN TRACK A UNA CARPETA DESAPARECE EL LISTADO DE "DEFAULT" Y YA NO PUEDO ELEGIR LA CARPETA, NI ABRIRLA, NI NADA DE NADA... SOLO SI VOY A "CARPETAS" APARECE LA NUEVA CARPETA Y SI PINCHO, ME DICE QUE LA QUIERE BORRAR



¿CÓMO SE VEN LOS TRACKS DE ESA CARPETA?



Ahhhhh ya... ostia que susto... después de crear todas las carpetas, hay que salir del administrador de tracks y volver a entrar para que las muestre todas...

El corregir altitudes usando el sistema online no funciona (Elevation courtesy of MapQuest).



Cuando lo intentas, al cabo de unos 5 segundos sale un mensaje de error. "ERROR actualizando altitudes!"

Otra cosilla.



Cuando creas carpetas para ordenar los tracks, las carpetas siempre aparecen en el orden en que las creaste, tanto para mover un track, como para gestionar las carpetas.



¿Podrías hacer que se puedan ordenar por nombre también? y que se guarde para siempre la selección que hayas hecho.



Así siempre, si el usuario lo desea, las ordenará por nombre y ya siempre, tanto para ordenar los tracks como para gestionar las carpetas, aparecerá ordenadas por la selección del usuario.

Cuando accedes al gestor de capertas y pulsas en una, automáticamente te sale un mensaje que dice "¿Borrar la carpeta?"  ¿qué pasa si dices que "si"? ¿se borra la carpeta y los tracks?, ¿sólo la carpeta y los tracks se mueven a la default?.



Un breve comentario cuando salga la advertencia estaría genial.

When browsing tracks in the track database, if I click Edit properties of any track in any folder, the Folder in the properties if the Folder I last set a Track to (or Default if I haven't set a Folder for a Track yet), irrespective of which Folder the Track is currently in.



What happens here is if I go to my Commute Folder, Edit properties of a Track there, and change the Track name, the Track moves to the Default folder.  This is because the Edit properties shows Default as the Folder, instead of the Track's current location, which is Commute.  Then when I save it save Default as the Folder.



If I then go to the Default Folder to find the wayward Track and change the Folder to Commute, then save, it is ok.  However, the next Track I open, whether it's in the Default Folder, or a Routes Folder, will have Commute as the Folder in properties and will move there if I save that Track.



Also, noticed another thread somewhere indicating there should be a 15 second Minimum time for GPS in the beta version- there isn't.

Beta 9 now shows the correct folder in track properties, but now the name and type are blank and get lost when you change the folder (saving the blank name and type)

You've recently trimmed down the Tracks menu, so only the Routes menu gets to the Route Manager/database.



Can I suggest the following?



Should the Route Manage screen be titled Routes, not Tracks, if it is accessed from the Routes menu?



If Routes are followable and Tracks are editable, then shouldn't the Create option be on the Track menu, not the Route menu?

That's the location of the providers file.



All the standard Locus maps are there, so I expected something like Google Maps at least to come across?

Error al exportar automaticamente a GPX cuando terminas de grabar el track

Hora Orux,

Algo que nunca había probado y ahora me he dado cuenta.



Cuando el oruxmaps graba automáticamente en formato GPX el track que has realizado o que estas realizando cuand paras la grabación, es una copia exacta a lo que tienes en pantalla.



El oruxmaps, cuando llevas "x mil puntos", vá perdiendo información del track en pantalla, cosa que me parece estupenda para que no vaya lento cuando llevas 2000puntos y no tenga que dibujarlos todos.

Pues bien, esa exportación automática también pierde los puntos, como ya he dicho antes, es una copia de lo que tienes en pantalla.



Realmente "tu track grabado" no es ese, es el que tienes en la base de datos. Si puedes hacer que en vez de exportar lo que hay en pantalla, exporte lo que tiene en la base de datos, estaría mucho mucho mejor y no te llevas las manos a la cabeza.



No veas el susto que me he dado y he tenido que revisar toda la configuración del oruxmaps para ver si había cambiado algo de la configuración que haya provocado tal cantidad de perdida de puntos.



Luego me ha dado por hacer lo que hago siempre, cambiar el nombre, poner una descripción y volver a exportar el track a GPX.



Y ahora si que tengo un track detalladito.

The folders should either be sorted alphabeticall, or there should be a method of re-ordering them.



Currently, whenever I get to select a folder, the folders are listed in the order I created them.

Sc map management.



As far as I can tell, maps added by SC don't go into the onlinemapsource xml file.



Therefore there is no way to remove them once added.



Should it behave a bit more like the layer maps in that once created they are prefixed with some text, coloured differently and removable by long-pressing on them?

Is it obligatory to remove the previous beta version before installing the next for test?



I am asking this because every time I uninstall oruxmaps beta to install the next beta, I have to do all the settings from the beggining (coordinates, cursors, buttons, screen settings  etc.) :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:

I never uninstall and it works fine.

Unfortunately my S4 Active doesn't support Ant+ so far,

but I don't see where to activate the temp sensor to be seen on the dashboard? I'd like to buy a sensor as soon as there is an update to 4.3 for my S4 Active.

Ah Sorry,  found it now. It is not in the list of Ant+ sensors. It is below the normal temp indication. Sorry

After upgrading to beta 18 the imported maps weren't listed and the sc option failed to find external sources. After reinstalling beta 17 the maps returned without having to re - import.

When importing a gpx from the route manage screen, the routes show in the current folder even though they've imported into the root folder.



They should only show if I'm currently at the root folder.



Even better would be for the files to import to the current folder.

Lo abro con el compeGPS, lo retoco para borrar todos los puntos extras de la ruta, cuando finalizo lo guardo y con un editor de texto, donde el compeGPS me ha puesto el nombre y la descripción:

    <name></name>

He añadido otra vez, los "![CDATA[ ]]".

    <name>![CDATA[blablabla]]</name>

    <desc>![CDATA[blablabla]]</desc>



Lo he pasado al móvil, he borrado el track de la base de datos y le he dado a importar.



El resultado ha sido que el "name" si que lo ha respetado, pero el "desc" lo ha ignorado.

¿Cuándo me vas a dar la alegría o la sorpresa de que el orux incluya automáticamente los waypoints por los que pasas?

¿Te acuerdas que te lo comenté?



Si el orux es capaz de avisar hasta de que te queda 1m para llegar al waypoint... ¿qué tal una opción que te permita que si pasas a menos de 15m del waypoint, lo incluya directamente en el track, o un desplegable y le digas que desde 50m, 30m, 10m, 5m, 0m te lo incluya.



Es que me vuelvo tarumba cada vez que quiero los waypoints en un track... cuando tengo 100 de una zona, ya no se ni por los que he pasado para hacer la importación masiva.

Si exportas un gpx, y vuelves a importar ese gpx en OruxMaps, verás que importa correctamente el nombre y descripción.



Campos <desc> hay en varios niveles dentro de los gpx, comprueba que los que editas antes de importar en oruxmaps son exactamente los que usa oruxmaps.



Ten en cuenta que el campo <desc> del Track lo usa OruxMaps para incluir las estadísticas, por lo que es reescrito cada vez que exportas un gpx.



Sobre la distancia final, cada vez que importas un track, oruxmaps recalcula las estadísticas. Comprueba que no te has dejado algún punto, o has hecho una ruta de ida/vuelta, porque creo que las distancias se calculan bien.

Uhm... no no, la distancia final del gpx y del importado a la base de datos está correcta... creo que leíste mi comentario antes de que yo lo editara y borrara... lo siento.



Es que me dejé un punto perdido en el gpx y la distancia que importé en el orux salió mal... pero por eso, porque no borre todo lo que debía.

The Donate version updated to v.16 from the Play store today.



It's missing the sc option from the map selection screen.



Also, I had to accurately recreate all the folder names in order to have the existing routes in the folders I previously had them in. Would it be possible to have an option to recover Folders from the route database? I imagine this would be a problem again when I get a new phone.

The beta version has a different config-database to stable version. In the next update to the stable version, you won't lose your changes you make now.
