I'm using a Hebrew language version of OM 7.0.14 on a Samsung S7 with Android 7.0

In the new version clicking the right tool bar causes it to disappear and the left one apperas instead

In the statistics page, the texts runs on itself

The saved tracks list is empty

The Hebrew name of the new track is missing from the track list



Switched to English and everything is normal.

My impression is that the power consumption went up in the last version.

I drain my battery in 4 h whereas it used to last 8. Same settings.

I connected some Garmin ANT+ sensors.

I don't ride with them anymore, but OruxMaps keeps telling me that the sensors were disconnected every 20 seconds. Beeps too.

I searched high and low and couldn't find a place to disconnect the sensors.

Please help.

I used to be able to present Yandex maps correctly using this projection, now it appears as if it doesn't work and the result is a shift of some 20 KM to the north in my area.

Keeps showing me the cached tiles.

Only emptying the maps cache totally showed the new tiles.

I often ride my MTB fast while consulting Oruxmaps on the smartphone attached to my handlebar.

I'd like to record facts about the road to later incorporate into OSM.

Things like "vineyard on the right", "hiking path marked blue".

It would be great if I could record a geo-tagged message, hands-free, using Oruxmaps.

I'd put it in a shortcut button on the screen.

Can't define the map folder in an external SD.

Galaxy s5 android 5.0.

I was looking for the automatic barometer calibration under the GPS settings  in version 6.09 and could not find it.  Any ideas?

Bug with the "screen on while logging" feature.

It used to work fine, now when I put it in this position it doesn't use the dim wake lock, but stays bright and drains the battery.

Curiously, when I turn the "always on" feature off and on again, the dim wake lock it's working.

Same behavior for latest released version and 6.02 beta1

When opening a GPX file on an Android phone (not from within Orux, but directly, after download or from DropBox for instance).

It lets me chose what application to use.

After choosing Orux, it opens the app but nothing happens.

It doesn't ask whether to import it to the DB, show it as a route or a track.

In contrast, Locus and Maverick handle the import fine.

Is this just my system, or the general behavior of the app?



How can I fix this?

I noticed that mapbox GL allows vector maps rotation while keeping the labels level.

This would probably require extensive coding, but would be very cool and useful to have.

While mountain biking with the smartphone on the handlebar I usually keep orientation up, making upside down labels impossible to read.

I have a map source which can be accessed either way.

Which would be faster?

Any other considerations?

People usually calibrate maps at home, where there is no GPX fix.

I usually do it by comparing the map to a recorded route.

It would be nice if I could use the calibrate feature without a GPX fix.

Just drag the map around till it fits the route and hit OK.

I use oruxmaps for navigation on a mountain bike.

One of the most common features I use is to change the map orientation from direction up (when I'm following a track) to north up (when I want to reorient in the area).

It would be great if this button - normally within the map menu, could be put as an option in the custom buttons for easier access.

I'm looking for a good route planner for off-road trips (hiking and mountain biking).



The 3 things I need:



Support for custom online map sources.

Auto-routing on OSM roads - to save time when planning.

GPX export - so I can upload it to Oruxmaps.



Any recommendations?

I'd like to see vector maps labeled with local names (Hebrew, Arabic, Russian etc.)

Would that require changes in the theme or in the database as provided by openadromaps/mapsforge?
