when you introduced that option, you showed one symbol per km when zooming in.



Later you changed that such that the minimal distance between 2 points is 5km.



Now I mostly cannot see any point at all because I would have to zoom out.



My wish would be:



- Ensure that always at least one such symbol is visible.

- if the distance between current position and that symbol is greater than 1km, make sure that at least 2 symbols are shown, one before and one after the current position



Side remark: Showing km values 1000km or more does not work very well. If I remember correctly, the first digit is suppressed.

I changed to the donate version recently because it was much newer than the version on the home page.



Now it is the other way round, the version on the home page is newer: 7.4.14. Google play donate version is only 7.4.12.



What is the rationale? Is this a case-by-case-decision?

I installed the Freizeitkarte from http://www.freizeitkarte-osm.de">www.freizeitkarte-osm.de (northern Germany).



It works fine, I can load it. But it is not shown as an option in the menu item "Offline-Karte hier"

Does somebody have a working example for Android API 24 or later?

I noticed that v7.3.7 on the home page has been there for quite some time. Then I discovered that the Google Play Version is already 7.4.12, so I installed that.



Now I have two separate apps which do not share configuration and offline maps.



I can reach v7.3.7 with com.oruxmaps.INTENT_START_RECORD_NEWTRACK, this works fine.

But what is the corresponding command for OruxmapsDonate v7.4.12? com.oruxmapsDonate... does not work.



And - is there an easy way to copy all settings from Oruxmaps to OruxmapsDonate?



As someone who uses Oruxmaps on more than one device, it would be quite helpful to have functions for exporting/importing settings.

this is with the option "Zoom problem" enabled. If I disable the option, the scale will jump from 7m to 100000km

I wrote my own Mapmytrack server in python and I noticed a few things:



1. start_activity says  privicity instead of privacy



2. in the configuration, I can set default values for Public/private and Activity type. They are used only for Auto Live Tracking, I would like to see them as default values for manual life tracking start. Otherwise, the text in the configuration is wrong, it should then be "Start auto life tracking in this mode" and "Default activity type for auto life tracking"



3. sometimes the last update_activity only comes after the corresponding stop_activity



4. maybe related: If I start and stop within a short time, say 5 seconds, Oruxmaps sends start_activity and stop_activity. That is fine but it passes -1 as activity_id to stop_activity.



5. repeating step 4 results in some strange messages. The order start/update/stop is wrong, and most activity ids are wrong.

I currently use the realtime tracker but want to use gpsies instead. There are a few usability problems, I am using the current version



1. Download tracks from gpsies: It only finds tracks if I enter info into ALL search fields. So Showing all tracks of a certain user is not possible. I have 11 own tracks on gpsies, and I want to only enter my user name for searching. If I leave the search text empty, all texts should match, currently nothing matches. If I leave the maximum distance empty, all distances should match. Currently nothing matches. Alternatively, a nice solution would be to save the last entered values and propose them as default for the next search. Or implement both.



2. Livetracking with gpsies: In the settings I can define the mode private/public for gpsies and I can define the standard activity. But live tracking with gpsies never actually starts. The menu with "Start GPS" never offers me an entry for starting livetracking with gpsies – however it shows a menu entry for mapmytracks if I define a mapmytracks account. Is gpsies live tracking not supported / partially supported / planned? The user manual does not tell.

Hi,



I am a new user with 5.5.18.



Multitracking should be setup correctly. After enabling it on two mobiles, one of them made an alarm sound because the other one was seen to be nearby – that is why I believe it should work.



But on both mobiles, the other's position never shows on the map.



I defined two accounts, defined sending and receiving to/from each other, synchronized both with the server, started tracking on both and activated multitracking on both.



Is there some other option that might disable the display of the position?
