hello orux, your comment about the file manager gave me the cause of my problem.
All my route.gpx are in Dropbox so I can see them on my phone, PC and tablet.
In the past, by selecting a file here, Oruxmaps opened directly with the route. This now gives the error.
By using the ASTRO file manager I can load all routes again.
Will it be possible again in the future to open a file directly from Dropbox?

I use the Beta version because of the SOS function via SMS.

Made with Brouter-web. The error is there with all my .gpx. (not in oruxmaps v8.5.5.GP)
I think since v8.5.5.beta 11 or 12.

When I start Oruxmaps by selecting a .gps file Oruxmaps start correctly but there is an error "error loading route" and there is no route.
(In "v.8.5.5 GP" Oruxmaps starts correctly and the route is there and loaded correctly.)

Oruxmaps8.5.5beta11:
1-Start oruxmaps-beta by selecting an .gpx file gives an error (error loading route)
2-I can't disable the slope-coloring of the route.

where can i find the latest (11) apk to download

Is it possible to add a button that sends an SMS containing a short message and the location coordinates and the Google link (as in the SOS function). This to either the telephones in the SOS list or a number to be specified (for example the emergency number 112)

Probably is your problem with the Samsung. I had a Samsung A8 with sometimes very large errors (more than 100 m) for the GPS location, this with an accuracy indicator circle of less than 10 m. Unit was not repairable and is returned.

I have a Google Nexus 6P with a good <10m GPS location.

I have tried a Samsung Galaxy A8 that has a very bad location. The GPS location was sometimes >150m wrong with a accuracy circle of 10m. Not to use for walking.

In the near future there will be Phones with better GPS Chips.
