FWIW, I believe that the limiting factor with connecting BT2.0 to OM, is the hardware not being BLE compliant.  Nexus7 v2 works while Nexus7 v1 doesn't.

Frequently I ride trail systems that are made up of multiple trails.  At each intersection I'll create a new segment and it would be nice to be able to include the trail name when starting a new segment.
