I experienced a curious issue in OruxMaps.



After I selected a new offline vector map (Germany) no map is seemingly shown in the main view.



After playing a while with the App I found out that the map IS shown but at a very,very high level.

It appears only as a tiny dot on the display.

So I had to zoom in multiple times to really view the street map.



This is very strange.



How can I tell OruxMaps to ALWAYS AUTOMATICALLY start at a resonable zoom level (even it does not know the current position because GPS is currently turned off)?



At least users should recognize a map on the display and not a single dot.

Assume I have loaded an offline vector map into OruxMaps and enabled GPS.



How excatly can I tell OruxMaps: Look in appropriate Vector map and show current position on map?



How excatly can I tell OruxMaps: Always show automatically current position on vector map?

Sometimes I just want to track my gps positions during travelling for later (!) view WITH maps.



For that purpose I don't need instant map view - only gps data logging.

How exactly can I turn off permanent map retrieval through my mobile internet provider connection in this scenario?



Resp. how can I turn it on again?

Where can I read the current position in deg, arcminutes and arcseconds in OruxMaps?



I mean in  a notation similar to this:

Which menus do I have to tap exactly?

As I noticed OruxMaps vibrates sometimes when I click on certain menus.



How can I turn off vibration completely in OruxMaps?

When I evaluate OruxMaps the auto-save Option for KML and GMX was disabled.



How can I later (after stop recording) export a certain track into a *.kmz or *.gmx file?



I found no "export" menu.



Is it possible to import such tracks later?

Assume I wan to run OrixMaps at the same time as other GPS Apps (e.g. Locus).



Is this possible or do they confuse each other?
