Just checked this and can confirm that it is precisely what I want.



Many thanks for "pointing me in the right direction"  



... and another big thumbs up for Oruxmaps - the more I use it, the more its flexibility impresses me.

When "following", the current position is in the centre of the screen (I use Map Mode = Direction Up - GPS). When cycling it would be useful to see more of where you're going and less of where you've just been.



It would be nice to have an option to offset the current position when following by a Y amount (for example -50, 100, 150... pixels) or a percentage of the screen Y-extent?
