two questions:





1) I can't find waypoint (also saved) export/share function as same as function location share. if this is not an option a feature that is very lacking in this application IMHO.

2) when map oriented by compass is enabled, cursor (arrow) with TMG line is fixed (and rotating) with map. I think  it should stay in up position so it shows in direction where one looks at and only map is rotating - roughly like google maps in walking more. much more useful.

in version 7.4.11 SOS SMS function was removed due to GP policy. It is quite nasty surprise since I use(d) this function when I was riding alone in unknown places and was for me perfect 'backup' in case enything goes wrong. But, my question is, why programmers are not allowed to use such usefull functions? What is the purpose of banning it? It is really difficult to understand such logic.



I'd like to downgrade to the last version with SOS (7.4.9 ? )... where I can DL?

You can not associate waypoints created on OM, with a KML or GPX file.



If you want to associate waypoints created with OM on a route created with another application (GPX or KML file), you must first import this KML ou GPX route into the OM database.

Then load the route (manage tracks/routes), using the "continue recording the track" option. The waypoints created then will be associated with this route.

first of all, thank you for your answers.



i followed your last procedure and somehow it works also on my phone. i am a little bit surprised since this is almost identical procedure as in OM users manual examples. anyway, i made a progression and this is most important.



i have two more questions if you (or anybody else) know the answer:



1) when WP are inserted via 'manage wp' and WP navigation with alarm is enabled, OM started to navigate backwards - from last created WP to first, what is exactly opposite if you add WPs to route from start to finish.

2) how you connect (save) existing (gpx) route with manually added WP in single file? (to avoid step with selecting WP from 'manage WP' menu, which can be very frustrating if there is many WPs)

this is probably basic function but i am really pissed off because i am not able to use it correctly – could someone please help me.



I have a gpx file (from other server) to which I want to add waypoints and enable 'follow route' and 'wpt voice prompt' (just to avoid watching the screen all the time). I tried all samples from manual but it's not working at all.

i do not want to 'steal' ideas from other apps but i saw some nice solutions which would be good to see in oruxmaps (at least variations of those solutions)



-   Settings are still very complex – adding toggle options to each option what to show in basic settings.

-   Summarize activities data in track/route menu (month achievements, total length, altitude, hours, etc.... /sportracker?/)

-   Downloading offline maps – perfect solution in Locus map – if track is loaded, area around track is automatically offered (you can easily change width) and then only those segments are downloaded.



What do you think?

1.-following a rute

2.-checked 'route'

3.-and checked only 'altitude' graph.

hi Orux,

it would be useful to know/see actual altitude position on graph comparable to the route when following mode is in use (in statistics/see graphics, or maybe as separate function).  For example - when you are cycling uphill somehowe you cannot estimate how far is the peak. what do you think?

if oruxmaps is started with an offline map and you are not anymore on area which is covered with this offline map, oruxmaps constantly demand from you to select another offline map. if there is no offline map, which covers new area, it is almost impossible to skip this screen and using program without map.
