MEJORAS/NEW FEATURES / Re: Request: Cursor to top
June 27, 2024, 10:31:59 AM
Quote from: Tronpo on June 26, 2024, 03:10:05 PMHello, there is the option of side board, with the mobile horizontal, you can use up to 8 data on the Lateral  board, and others on the board below the cursor
You can spread the information between both boards to gain visibility on the map
How much data do you use in your dashboard?

Hi Tronpo,
Thanks for responding.
I have speed, total distance, total time recording, total average speed, total average speed in movement, total maximum speed, altitude (GPS), minimum altitude, maximum altitude, sunset, sunrise & coordinates! With "Large Dashboard" selected that takes up just over the bottom third of my screen, with the position cursor sitting just above the speed display. I've tried the lateral board but that only seems to work in landscape mode in which my holder won't secure the phone - also would rather have all the readings in one place with the map above. First world problem I know - I just wondered if I was missing the obvious or if Orux could easily add the cursor to top option.

Isn't it any support contact at OS where you could ask ?
That's my next step, but I'm not sure they'll understand like you guys do ;-)

Quote from: LaurentG on June 18, 2024, 12:58:29 PMIf you have a paid suscription, you should have a "key", and then be able to get them with MOBAC.
Herafter a mapsource that works fine... provided you have an active key to insert.

Hi LaurentG - So I've looked at my invoice - it's an annual subscription, not a free trial, and I have Invoice Number, Invoice Account, & Order Number - I've tried all three without success. I think it could require the equivalent of the old OpenSpace API key which I previously used on my website until the freebie was discontinued in 2021 - does anyone know where to find the required key in the OS maps subscription?
Thanks in advance :-)

GENERAL / Ordnance Survey maps
June 18, 2024, 10:21:05 AM
Hi All.

I have a large collection of UK / GB Ordnance Survey (OS) maps that I've calibrated and converted to use on Oruxmaps, but they are about 20 years old now and some are out of date. I took the plunge and paid for an annual subscription to OS online maps. I've tried the OS app for android and compared to Oruxmaps it's absolutely rubbish, but obviously the maps are up to date.
Does anyone know of an "easy" way to scrape the OS maps, either from the web or the app, so I can use them in Oruxmaps? I can screenshot or print to pdf at A3 then extract and calibrate, but it's time consuming. Wondering if anyone else has a more elegant solution?

While I'm here - @Orux - Thanks for the best mapping application available - I've tried a lot of different ones and nothing comes close!

Thanks, Pete

MEJORAS/NEW FEATURES / Request: Cursor to top
June 18, 2024, 10:05:54 AM
Hi,
In Settings > User Interface > Cursor there is the option of "Cursor to bottom - the centre cursor moved down"
I have quite a large dashboard always on when I'm cycling, so the cursor and therefore my immediate map surroundings are close to the dashboard. Would it be possible to have a "Cursor to Top" option so my position is more central to the remaining available screen that isn't taken up by the dashboard?
The other option would be to have the full dashboard at the top of the screen rather than the bottom, then I'd use the Cursor to bottom option.
Apologies if these features are already available, I just can't find them.
Thanks in advance, Pete

ERRORES/BUGS / Button order on Dashboard
March 08, 2024, 08:38:47 AM
Hi - This has been reported here before but I don't see a fix? https://oruxmaps.org/forum/index.php?topic=2952.msg7140#msg7140
I'm currently on 10.5.0
I am unable to order the buttons on the dashboard.
From Global Settings > User Interface > Dashboard > Dashboard Controls I can tick / select /de-select each control/button and they do appear / dissappear on the dashboard on the dashboard when in track logging mode.
However, if I grab the slider and reorder the buttons, then tick to save, it says saved but when I reopen they are in the old order.
Coordinates and sunrise/sunset stay at the bottom, where I want them, but I can't move speed to the top (I move it to the bottom of the list to do this) unless speed is the only other control.
I currently use coordinates, sunrise, sunset, altitude gps, max altitude track, min altitude track, total max speed, total average speed, total distance, and speed.
I am unable to keep speed at the top of the dashboard (bottom of the list)
Samsung Galaxy A71 on Android 13
Anyone else have this issue? I know it really is a first world problem but it messes with my OCD in an otherwise fantastic app!
