I wondered what the icon meant and never spotted the associated button (now added to bar).

I never set this explicitly - it seems to get set sometimes when changing other config values.

Sometimes the route is not displayed on the map when I create it by hand or when loaded from 'Tracks->Load them in the maps viewer, to see or to follow'.

This is an occasional problem that is not fixed by doing a force stop of Orux or by rebooting my phone. It just seems to resolve itself after a while.

Loading the route as an overlay works fine.

If I create a new waypoint when logging a track then attempt to edit the name I can select the waypoint name field but the Android keypad is not displayed so there is no way to change it.

No problem editing the waypoint name after track logging is terminated.

I frequently see many grey tiles using OpenTopomap even when the relevant tiles are obviously in the cache.

E.g. when viewing the map, select 'settings' then return to the map. Sometimes its a complete grey screen.

Or zoom out, tiles go grey, return to the original zoom - tiles remain grey.

Or when zooming in initially the old tile is displayed enlarged but then it goes grey while (I guess) waiting for the higher zoom tile to download from the server.
Since the OpenTopomap server is often slow this can take multiple seconds or even minutes.

This isn't survivable when navigating a motor vehicle and I don't find any of the other online world maps clear enough for the job.

I stumbled on the answer to this: You need to use the 'refresh' button at the top of the window to restore the premium maps.

in V 8.5.1 selecting Maps->Featured shows nothing. Previously there was a list including (if you paid) various Google offerings like satellite view plus other maps. Works fine on my other device on V 8.1.10

Not sure if this is a bug or a feature request...

I've defined half a dozen custom waypoint types and mostly use these instead of using waypoint names.

If I export my waypoints to .gpx, then import them to another device the waypoint type reverts to 'waypoint' in the DB.

The custom waypoint definitions are the same on both devices and the waypoint type in the .GPX looks correct. E.g.:

<type>dirt bike</type>

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

When creating a route, if you click on the 'x', 'Remove route and exit?' button then select 'CANCEL' its no longer possible to create route points (you can still delete them though).



 Present in 7.5.4 GP on Android 7.0 and 7.5.1GP on Android 9.0

There's now a message on opentopmap.org saying "main server down due to upgrade. Only zoom levels 1-14 available" so perhaps that's the reason.

I can no longer load new opentopmap tiles. Been a problem for the last couple of days. Their website seems to be live. Problem ocurrs when zooming or refresh tiles. Tried on two devices both running 7.3.4 donate.

While comparing my device with a friends I noticed their map contained much more detail than mine. We were both viewing online OpenTopoMap at level 15. He had just downloaded the tiles on his device. My tiles were probably downloaded 18 months ago. I tried 'map->refresh tiles' but it apparently has no effect.



Is there a way to cause just a few tile to be updated? My tile cache is about 1Gb so I don't want to delete everything and start again.

First I'd like to say, Orux, thanks for your _wonderful_ app.



I've been playing with the profiles feature but can't really figure out what its supposed to do or how it works. Is there a tutorial anywhere?



The sorts of question I have are: What settings are stored in a profile? How are profiles updated? (there's no 'save' button). Are changes automatically saved? If so what happens when you make changes to 'default'? etc.  



I'd like to have separate profiles for 'cycling', 'driving' etc. and for different maps. However settings like default zoom level and GPS config don't seem to be stored (I think, without knowing what should happen its easy to get confused).
