GENERAL / How to activate waypoint alert?
June 30, 2017, 05:19:56 PM
Dear Oruxfriends,

sorry for my "basic-question" but I am not able to find the solution in the manual or here.

When I start to record a new track, than I can choose, if I want have (inter alia) the waypoint-alert "active".

Mostly I start in urban surroundings and I dont want to have every minute an alert. But then, after 2 hours of biking, I want to activate the waypoint-alert WITHOUT starting a new record.

Is this possible?

Thank you very much, Franz

PERFECT!! @6745th@web.de ---> thank you a lot!

I didn´t know, that each sensor has to be activated additionally to its acitavation/connection.

I did successfull export a TCX-File with all data I want.

The last problem is, that every ~ 10 secounds a message on my Orux appears (I don´t know if it´s from Orux or a "connection-service" of my advice), where the message is "connection to heart-rate sensor is lost, retry in 30 seconds"... but it works nevertheless :-)

Thank you and good bye :-)

PS: Do you know a good tool for showing the track with the heart-rate (in beats per min depending colors)....? Trainingpeaks don´t do that and its very expensive....

Dear all,

these days i ordert my first heart rate sensor from the company "BlueLeza".

This one has very good ratings, f.e. at amazon: https://www.amazon.de/BlueLeza-Bluetooth-Pulsgurt-Blackberry-Smartphones/dp/B00BETGTNI">//https://www.amazon.de/BlueLeza-Bluetooth-Pulsgurt-Blackberry-Smartphones/dp/B00BETGTNI

I use an android (6.1) smartphone, the Oneplus One and after a couple of tries (and hours) it works well with the application "BLE Heart Rate Monitor". But I had to install some tricky tools... It hasn´t worked out of the box.

Well, at any way, what I want to say is, that the hardware works in the meantime. As an old Oruxmaps fan, I tried without delay to see and log my heart-rate with Oruxmaps. The sensor was found via BT and I can see the Sensor-ID. But I can´t see the heart-rate on Oruxmaps although I did add this displays to the dashboard. They are not shown there :(

Any ideas? It would be so fantastic if:

- The sensor will work with ouruxmaps and I must not pay 3,19 € per each feature of the one App (BLE Heart Rate Monitor) like a graphic or export it to an TCX-File

- You can tell me, which sensors are compatible to Orux now

- I can collect my "normal oruxmaps-datas" (like the track, the duration, the elevation and so on) TOGETHER with the heart-rate in our loved, well working Orux and get a single gpx file with all datas (including heart-rate).

- The best navigation-App Oruxmaps will work together with this (according to the ratings on amazon) good and popular heart rate sensor.

Maybe the emergency solution is to run two different apps together at the same time (oruxmaps + ble) in the hope that it is possible to merge all datas ... maybe with gpsies.com...?!

Thank you so much for your help and advice,

Franz

PS: Maybe some informations for the sensor helps you as experts: https://www.blueleza.com/hrm-blue/">//https://www.blueleza.com/hrm-blue/

Hello Surfer,

I can unfortunately not answer specifically to your problem -have however a similar:

For me it is the chest belt of "Blueleza" -I get it unfortunately also not to have a stable and durable coupling. I'm afraid, however, that this is the crass circumcision of BT rights in the current / new Android versions as the cause.

Maybe someone could be so nice and list really compatible, tested sensors for pulse and rotations of the pedals? That would be really great - the data then with in the GPX track to have and analyze them on a map, would be a dream.

Many thanks and best regards, Franz

Hallo Surfer,

--> IT WORKED TODAY !!!!!

Thank you all very much!

The mistake was by me! Sorry, Orux ;-)

Reason: I used an old track. And during the recording I started with delay because I did do a talk with the neighbour... For a few minutes... And that´s the reason why my "old competitor-point" didn´t move FOR THE FIRST MINUTES although I was moving actual......

Thank you all, have a nice weekend,

Franz

Dear kerékjoe,

thank you very much - I ll try.

Does somebody have a screenshot where I can see the depiction off "all":

Thank you very much and my apologise for so much questions... but I am despiring  :|

Thank you very much.

Especially the sense of segments is interessting... I hope every "interpreter-software" can handle this.

Dear Matt and kerékjoe,

thank you very much for your answers.

The Setting for "Partner zeigen / (show partner)" is active:

https://picload.org/image/rcroipar/orux1.png">

The competitor-time in the dashboard (red X) is displayed:

https://picload.org/image/rcroipaa/orux2.png">

...but no "second, moving point" in the map.....

If the weather is better tomorrow, I ll try it on the bike on the exact route (an old track with my times) again.

Thank you very very much for helping me,

Franz

Quote from: "kerékjoe""Show partner"

(latest line)

Sorry... maybe I am blind: I can´t find it!!!

My Orux is in german... I ll write the menu possibilies and in brackets "my" translation:

Track- / Routenwerkzeuge (Tools for Tracks and Routes)

-Geocaches (Geocaches)

-Kml-/Gpx Route laden (Load kml or gpx - Route)

-Routenplaner (Plan routes)

-Von Hand erstellen (plan by hand)

-Bei OM suchen (Search on OM)

Naviationsoptionen

-Folgen beenden (end following (the track)) --> you can see the following action is active.

-Routenalarm beenden (end the route-alert)

-Route umkehren (reverse routing)

Is there another setting to do, I didn´t do...?! The competitor-time is shown in the dashboard..

Thank you so much for bringing light into the darkness ;-)

Dear carioco,

thank you very very much for your answer! Your english is better than mine, but you are not german so we can write in this language..?! ;-)

In the meantime I was able to find your descripted way with the field in the dasboard. Unfortunatelly I used a (fresh) Route made with the add-on "Broute" in Orux and I don´t know the default speed of this calculation and not a droven track out of the past. I ll try this in these days.

Maybe the artificially Route is the reason, why I was NOT able to find your second -and most interessting part- description "To see this you have to select "competitor shows" in the menu "Tracks / routes"" In my menue (Version 7.0.2) there were no "competitor shows" button under "tracks / routes"  :|

Any idea?

At any way thank you very very much,

Franz

:geek:

Besten Dank und schönes WE,

Franz

Hi Brandjuhnl,

I am not an expert in Oruxmaps but I am well familiar with it.

The random start sounds strange. Never happened on my phone (Oneplus One) in the past. With no Orux-Version. Are you sure that Orux wasn´t "planed or not" activ in the background... it must be active if you are recording a track and use your smartphone otherways...

Auto start/stop:

I can imagine that this would be very usefull for you in the transport sector... But I haven´t seen this feature till now.

Sorry, I am not an expert but I want to give your Post here a new push.

Greetings, Franz

Hallo,

Franz

Dear Orux-Friends,

first of all I want to thank you for the work on Orux and the fantastic community. I use it in many cases and I am proud to show it to friends.

At the moment i am fighting with one question:

Is it possible to use a "ghost mode"? I searched here at the forum and found this topic: "Post subject]" -but it´s very old and there were no answers.

I want to compare my actual position on a route* with my position on the track (I recorded in the past). Is this not possible? In Oruxmaps everything is possible -maybe I don´t see the right button at the moment?! ;-)

This feature would be so grate for my training, my way to work, my way to my standard moutain top....

Thank you very very much,

saludos, Franz

* I am using the "old recorded track" for my actual drive as ROUTE (because I want to see the progress in [%] and so on..)

This is a nice idea if multitracking works...

I would be very happy if there is one more option:

To see in a table the ranked distances of my multitracking partners and the estimated meeting time (if we will continue in the actual / speed of the last minutes).

Thank you so much for this greate and free APP,

oruxbayer  ;)
