Hello to Orux and all users,

A friend recently makes me a suggestion about the possibility of voice guidance using Orux tracks.

Actually the software is able to measure the distance between tracks and real position because it can start and stop TTS message "far from route"...

Then two different functions can be implemented

Fist one seems to be easy enough. It is to replace the far from route message by a distance message telling "ten meters from rote" and so on

If the distance is increasing you have to change your direction...

Second one is more sophisticated. The message can be "the route is ten meter on you right" but it's need not only to know the distance but the direction too..that is more complex





But why this can be useful??? Even if this can  perhaps be used by visually impared people, the most interesting is that you don't need to look on your screen to follow a route, your earphone do the job, and when skiing this can be very useful.

Thanks for the answer...but it seems only to affect the slope indication as parameter.

For the changing color of a track depending of the slope the legend still varies from -25 % to +25 % despite the unit   i choose.

I will take a look on next betas.

Buenas dias (correct ??)

some colleagues user of Oruxmaps were interested by the option  allowing

active route painted using colors based on slope.

The actual value of the slope are very well for cycling but too low for skiing

it will be interesting to can change the slope range

Classical skiing slope use 3 or 4 color for angle > 30°, >35°, >40° and > 45.

Notice that slope is in degrees instead of %.

Happy to found the new version even if it's alway  hard to adapt.

The disapperaring of sections between dashboard in list of parameters  it's  a difficulty..



BUT i discover a real gegraphical surprise

if you go far west (or East) on your worldmap you can overpass the 180° Value of coordinate.

The problem doesn't appear on North or South

Quite surprising ??



I completly agree that's don't involves problem for use.

That means that Far-West is more far then we think

I only notice this mistake in the list of parameters used to configure trip computer

The list looks like this

Azimut vrai vers l'objectif

Azimut magnétique vers l'objectif

VMG : vitesse effective

Cap magnetique

Azimut Vrai

Inclinaison

Rotation

......

......

Then the parameter folowing cap magnetique is "cap vrai" instead of "azimut vrai"

In the list of paramaters used to configure Dashboard

Cap vrai follows Cap magnétique but  (donnée par le capteur magnetique) is wrong

it probably must be (donné par le GPS) or (fourni par le GPS) but this point is programming dependant.....



moreover

Direction magnétique de la trace in menu

Mode GPS actif

is probably (fourni par le capteur magnétique) instead of (fourni par le GPS)



I suppose all magnétic value are magnetic sensor dependant and true (gégraphical) value are GPS sensor related

First it's useful to wish an happy new year to ery one and especially Orux....



I do every year an Oruxmaps presentation in hikers association, then i update my slides.

The   suivir error was corrected in Suivre (Congratulations...)

But I would just notice a minor mistake in french version.

The parameter folowing Cap magnetique must be Cap Vrai instead of Azimut vrai.
