Has nobody any idea how to achieve this?

I would like to display my own POIs (for example hydrants and suction points) on a map. The POIs should be assigned different icons and they should be "clickable". With one click, further textual information should be displayed. What's the best way to do this with OruxMaps?

I checked it once again: APRS wasn't activated in the settings. But the recommended procedure (activating APRS in the settings, stopping APRS, deactivating APRS) did the job. The unwanted icons are gone. Thanks for the explanation.

The reason why I couldn't found the option is the very perculiar german translation:

Kneifgeste abschließen
Karte nach Kneifgeste in der digitalen Standard-Zoomstufe anzeigen.

Better would be this:

Code Select Expand

Fingergeste abschließen
Karte nach Fingergeste (vergrößern/verkleinern) in der digitalen Standard-Zoomstufe anzeigen.

Is there a special place where I can post this or where I can open an issue?

In case of vector maps (mapsforge) it's better if a finger gesture (spreading or pinching) snaps to the previous or next zoomlevel.



Example:

- current zoomlevel = 15

- spreading gesture = switch and snap to zoomlevel 16 (but not to zoomlevel 15 121% or something like this)



Is there a config option to achieve this? I couldn't find one?

APRS is off.

I'm using OruxMaps v7.1.6 Donate and sometimes I see on low zoom levels unwanted icons.

If I restart the app, I getmore or less icons.

The effect seems not deterministic.



What could be the reason for the behavior?

The Freizeitkarte maps are becoming increasingly popular in Spain. For this reason, the translation of some texts (which appear on the map) would be

useful. Ideal would be a Spanish native speaker.

Is there an option to active the mapsforge label layer?



Labels are sometimes supressed (or cut off). This occures very often at tile boundaries. The label layer avoids this problem.



The first screenshot shows the tile boundaries and all labels (label layer activated):
