me too!

at me - android 4.2 - phone language is local (hungarian) the orux is english - by my setting.



but, when the screen orientation is changed (turn the phone), the displayed orux language go to hungarian...



(with latest beta, and stable version too)

it would be good!

I tried some types of it.

-the zoom by volume button is ok (keycode 24, 25),

-map move is problematic (mouse mode uncomfortable: push the button and joystick same time, and game mode: some controller can't to do)



the minimal features would be very useful on bikes and motorbikes!

-zoom in-out,

-move map to 4 directions,

-maybe: map change (detailed-less detailed)

set the check box off/on:



"global setting/text to speech/far from route alarm"



(if you want to use this warning mode, you can adjust the "route alarm" and "distance stop alarm")

how can I stop the random (generally after rotating the phone) changing menu language  (from the wanted, orux adjusted english, to "phone basic" /it is hungarian/)



it is happens at beta and stable version too.



maybe via deleting the orux hungarian language files ? (I can't find it)

Don't worry, switch off this feature ! (it very useful for most user)

Orux can use .ozf2 + .map

If I know well only ozf2  -3, and -4 not.

I am using the converter 2.08 version (to convert pics files to ozf2):

it is not clear for me: how do you use om?



-sometime I am walking with dog - the phone is in my pocket (automatic screen on/off mode)

when I have a passed a junction,  the om signal warning me, I check the map on screen...

-in the car always screen on, immediatly can see why/when/where left the route



there is a lot of setting for reach the optimal one (position, and width of warning area,  maybe a less disturbing voice)



most of phone can mute one, or two click



it is fact, the best personal setting needs a couple of "test journey"

It is simple: (for me) when the warning voice stopped, you are reached the track again.

(Like the aircraft dark cockpit warning theory: no signal > no problem)

imho...

I think it's not too comfortable on the phone to edit the track.

We are still waiting for orux-pc ...

The "trackmaker" is a great and free sw to edit, convert.

turn off aprs?

you can change the +/- zoom button function in settings menu



(global set / maps / zoom set / on screen keys check box)

the configure of distance rings colours may be useful in the future

(I couldn't see it at first sight - with my old eyes..)

you need not delete anything,

don't worry about upgrading, om keeps your settings too

using newer orux version?
