Heb je onderstaande tips beide opgevolgd?

You should be able to see the maps in the map list, tab 'online', folder 'FEATURED'. IF YOU STILL HAVE PROBLEMS, CONTACT oruxuro@gmail.com orux

In English:

Support for WMTS-services is available in OruxMaps from version 7.2.8. You need an update of the app.

OruxMaps handles the Dutch historic maps without problems.

ERRORES/BUGS / Text error in waypoint menu

Orux,

When pressing "Search in map (offline)" in the WPT-menu, the top text shows twice "Min. Lat:". The upper line should be "Max. Lat:"

Orux,

This morning I installed the last Donate version (7.3.4).

All PDOK WMTS-maps of The Netherlands - as previously discussed - are shown correctly.

However, I observe another problem now.

Historic maps (1815 to 2015, as shown on website http://topotijdreis.nl/">//http://topotijdreis.nl/) are now shifted about 2 km to the East in OruxMaps. In the previous version of Oruxmaps Donate they were shown correctly.

E.g. this url gives the layers for 1982:

http://tiles.arcgis.com/tiles/nSZVuSZjHpEZZbRo/arcgis/rest/services/Historische_tijdreis_1982/MapServer/WMTS">http://tiles.arcgis.com/tiles/nSZVuSZjH ... erver/WMTS">http://tiles.arcgis.com/tiles/nSZVuSZjHpEZZbRo/arcgis/rest/services/Historische_tijdreis_1982/MapServer/WMTS?

You can change the year in the url to obtain the layers for another year.

The mapprojections are in RD Netherlands (Rijksdriehoekstelsel). Capabilities are shown here: http://tiles.arcgis.com/tiles/nSZVuSZjHpEZZbRo/arcgis/rest/services/Historische_tijdreis_1982/MapServer/WMTS/1.0.0/WMTSCapabilities.xml">//http://tiles.arcgis.com/tiles/nSZVuSZjHpEZZbRo/arcgis/rest/services/Historische_tijdreis_1982/MapServer/WMTS/1.0.0/WMTSCapabilities.xml

Orux,

I installed the beta you've sent and prepared WMTS for both the OpenTopo- and the Airphoto-maps of PDOK. OruxMaps now shows the correct, same position on both maps. Well, almost correct: GPS-results are very unstable tonight at my present position.

Thanks for solving this problem and for the fast reaction !

Orux,

An example is the WMTS OpenTopo map of The Netherlands. Link to the page with all details is: https://www.pdok.nl/geo-services?articleid=1957162#a01ca90c0627c2e54e6095bbff50cad2">//https://www.pdok.nl/geo-services?articleid=1957162#a01ca90c0627c2e54e6095bbff50cad2 .

Remark:

In my first message I didn't mean that OruxMaps is not applying the shift. The shift to WGS84 is not part of the EPSG:28992 definition.

I wil e-mail you two images. Both are from PDOK WMTS-services. The OpenTopo map uses EPSG:28992, the photo-map also has EPSG:4326 defined.

Orux,

About a year ago you mentioned that OruxMaps supports the majority of EPSG definitions.

The official source in The Netherlands for WMTS-services (PDOK) mainly uses EPSG:28992 (for WMS mainly EPSG: 4326 is used). EPSG:28992 maps can be used by Oruxmaps. However, the positionshift towards WGS84 is not carried out in this definition, resulting in placement of the GPS-cursor of Oruxmaps on a slightly "wrong" position on the map. You can find an example with images here: http://www.qgis.nl/2011/12/05/epsg28992-of-rijksdriehoekstelsel-verschuiving/">//http://www.qgis.nl/2011/12/05/epsg28992-of-rijksdriehoekstelsel-verschuiving/ . The text is in Dutch, but you will probably understand the formulas mentioned there.

Another link in Dutch describing the shift is: http://blog.openstreetmap.nl/index.php/2012/01/21/rd/">//http://blog.openstreetmap.nl/index.php/2012/01/21/rd/

A link wich describes the same problem in English is: https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/180118/difference-in-epsg28992-rd-amersfoort-definitions">//https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/180118/difference-in-epsg28992-rd-amersfoort-definitions

My question is: is it possible to change OruxMaps in such way, that this correction can be taken into account?

Regards,

Frans

Thanks, Orux!

I tested it using the last beta and it works.

MAPAS/MAPS / Online WMTS services for The Netherlands
August 05, 2018, 10:25:37 AM
Orux,

Online geoservices for The Netherlands are presented by the Dutch government on the PDOK-site ("Publieke Dienstverlening op de Kaart" or in English: Public Services on the Map). Many are WMTS-services, for example the Dutch OpenTopo map. Link: https://www.pdok.nl/geo-services?articleid=1957162#a01ca90c0627c2e54e6095bbff50cad2">//https://www.pdok.nl/geo-services?articleid=1957162#a01ca90c0627c2e54e6095bbff50cad2.

I did not succeed in using any of the WMTS-services presented on this site within OruxMaps. After entering an URL - for this example I used "https://geodata.nationaalgeoregister.nl/tiles/service/wmts">https://geodata.nationaalgeoregister.nl ... rvice/wmts">https://geodata.nationaalgeoregister.nl/tiles/service/wmts?", but also tried other strings for this url - I get an error message ("Attempt to invoke interface method 'java.lang.string ........")

WMS-services I tried on this site work without a problem.

Am I doing something wrong or is OruxMaps not prepared for the format used?

Regards,

Frans

Quote from: "deech123"hi thx for that, just looked at them

the ITN Converter seems nice, but problem is that - for what I see - we need internet connection.

Since sometimes i'm in the real mountains with no data or internet, only my laptop and my cell phone with oruxmaps, I wonder if this can be use in offline mode also?

So normally I plan my hiking routes on the computer and then transfer them to oruxmaps.

At home you have internet connection, so that shouldn't be a problem.

OruxMaps can use maps offline.

If your routes are not too long, it's relatively easy to make these at home using only the Oruxmaps app on a tablet or even on a phone.

Quote from: "deech123"thx for your reply.

if you do not suggest BaseCamp, any other free program I can use with toppo maps, so I can make my hikes and then transfer them to OruxMaps?

D.

You can try (no topo):

 - Itinerary Converter and Planner

 - Tyre (off road possible)

 - MyRoute (off road probably possible)

or  (topo possible):

 - OruxMaps (on phone or tablet)

Quote from: "deech123"HI guys,

who can help me out.

I use BaseCamp to make a track (you can see 2 foot as icon).

then I select the track and in export it as .GPX

then I transfer it to my phone, and in Oruxmaps I go to :

load KML- or GPX- file

then I click on : Follow, alarm checked and then I click also on START TRACKING.

then I also start on : START STORAGE.

i did the test today, a track had 13.2 KM total lenght.

the moment we started our walking, on my dashboard, I can see that the distance to the endpoint was only 4.7 KM

while we are walking and reach the 4.7 KM, suddenly this number wend up to 6.2KM, then after 1 hour it goes to 7.2KM and then 1 km before then end (so we allready did 12KM) it showed us over 5.6 km to go.

so also ETE and ETA was complete wrong.

is there anybody who can explain me what I did wrong? and why oruxmaps was having problems to show me the real ETA and ETA and KM to end point?

I think anybody who can give me the clue, since I tested 3 times, not working as should.

I can share the .GPX so that somebody can maybe check it and see what is going on?

thx

Didier

For a start, I advice not to use Basecamp. Garmin's Basecamp adds additional information to gpx-files, so these are not "standard".

Secondly, you can try to read the gpx-file using a simple text editor like Windows Notepad to check for the contents of it.

If Basecamp is the only software you have/use/know, you can try to export a route instead of a track from Basecamp and see how that is behaving.
