GENERAL / Re: Import .gpx as a track (not as route)
February 07, 2017, 08:13:29 AM
Go to Manage Tracks/Routes. At the bottom of the screen where the icons are, there is an icon of what looks like a road with a disk icon. Click that to import a gpx for to your tracks list. I think that is what you are looking for.

GENERAL / Re: Points on a map without a route

Have you tried to just add  waypoints to the map? You can turn your gps on,  just don't start recording.

It's the little push pin at the top of the screen and then click create. It will add a waypoint to your cursor's position.

MEJORAS/NEW FEATURES / Re: Stop recording track....
September 01, 2016, 05:20:16 PM
You could always put a lock on your screen, so if the screen is pressed it won't do anything to the app, although a lock screen can be a little annoying to some. Another option is once you start recording to go back to your phone's home screen. That way if buttons are pressed there is a really good chance it won't be on your recording. Although you would have to switch back to the app through the notifications to view your tracks, etc.

Just some thoughts

MAPAS/MAPS / Re: Delete a map?
December 28, 2015, 06:06:23 PM
To delete the map using your phone you will need to use some type of file explorer on your phone.  First check your settings in OruxMaps in Global Settings > Maps > Maps directory to see where the downloaded maps are stored.  Then, using your phone's file explorer, navigate to that same directory.  You should be able to see all of your downloaded maps and delete from there.

You can also use the computer and navigate to the same folder.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I am getting the error while loading the GPX file, before the option to add photos, etc.

What is your device?

What is the OS version?

It did work correctly in the past.

Thanks

I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S6. Running Android 5.0.2. I am rooted, but I'm running stock so that shouldn't matter.

The one I uploaded was a fairly small track. Have you tried uploading different sized tracks?

Have you tried changing the description or track name on the upload screen?

Hi,

Yes.

I tried various tracks. All are failing to upload.

I also changed my device since I first opened this thread.

Not sure what the issue is. :(

Cheers mate!

What version of OruxMaps are you using?

Maybe try creating a new login on everytrail.com just to see if the same problem occurs. It might be an issue with the website?

I just uploaded a track to everytrail and it uploaded correctly. I didn't upload any pictures, so I don't know of that is where the issue is coming from?

If you are using the latest beta version you can choose the maximum number of points.

Global Settings > User Interface > Tracks > Max. Points per Track

I think the maximum is 100,000.

I have that one installed but I got the update on July 27th for the Donate version so I was using the donate version which says it is 6.0.10. But that version number seems off.

GENERAL / Waypoint photos missing
August 02, 2015, 08:19:25 AM
I just got back from a backpacking trip where I used a lot of photo waypoints. Things seemed to be working fine. I took the picture and and accepted it and the waypoints appeared on the map. When I got home I looked for the pictures but I couldn't find then anywhere on my phone. There is nothing attached to the waypoints and no new pictures in my gallery.

I know what I did wrong here. I just got a new phone and transferred my apps and user data to the new phone. On my old phone the pictures where being saved to a path specified on the external sd card. My new phone doesn't have an external sd card so the destination path doesn't exist.

I'm curious to know if anyone knows where these pictures might have been saved, if there is anyway to access them, or if they are gone because the location doesn't exist. My phone is rooted if that helps in trying to track these down.

Thanks!
