may it be possible to add an OSM geocoding provider? Google does not work on a google-free phone (see also: https://www.oruxmaps.com/foro/viewtopic.php?t=3985#p10258">https://www.oruxmaps.com/foro/viewtopic ... 985#p10258">https://www.oruxmaps.com/foro/viewtopic.php?t=3985#p10258). IGN and DAUM do also not work for me (being in Germany).

Hi Orux,



I tested the new version and the composite maps (mapsforge map + hillshading). Works fine and fast on my Nexus 4, even with complex algorithm and very high resolution.



Unfortunately, I cannot add an OTRK map to the composite map (like the world maps from openandromaps.org), they simply do not show up in the map selection list.

What I want in the end is a composite map, where I have the following maps in: World (OTRK, zoom 0-9), Local map (Mapsforge, zoom 10-21), hillshading (zoom 10-16). Is that somehow possible?

Hi Orux,



here's a feature I would like to have especially for cycling, but also for hiking: the possibility of enabling a split map view where each part shows a different zoom level. I constantly find myself zooming out to check for example remaining distance or direction to some target or just to have an overview of the route. On the other hand, many situations require a high zoom level to find the exact path to follow. Having both would be great. What do you think?

the orientation of the offline POI search window is fixed, i.e. it does not rotate with rotating the phone. I need this as I have a broken screen and can use only the upper half of it. To enter text I need to rotate the phone by 180°. All other views in the app rotate with the phone except this one. Would you please consider to change this?
