Hello,



I have a Nokia N6 with Android 8.1, oruxMap 7.2.14. The issue is: "Oruxmap Stop/Crasch suddenly w/o reasons"

I have posted the same issue in the following topic:"Issues with Android Oreo and/or Huawei devices".

After some searching in Web I discovered the issue is related to NOKIA smantphnone (Nokia 6,7,8...) with Oreo.

This is the resaon because I'm opening a new topic.



I have followed the setting tips as below, but the issue still remain:

--oruxmaps battery optimisation =OFF  (android setting)

- oruxmaps can runing in background w/o any constains (android setting)

--FUSED LOCATIONS PROVIDER (clicked)

The issue is related to any application running in background (not only Orux) in Nokia Smartphone with Android Oreo.

It seems it is not working the Android "white list" that allow some app to run in backgroubnd w/o be auto-killed by Andorid.

While running Orux, Strava, or other app requiring to run in Background, also run this app along, by setting it to PARTIAL_WAKE_LOCK

p.s: Congratulation to Oruxmaps Developers. It is a great app. Outstanding. Not really friendly but extremly powerful with high degree of customization and stability !

I'm really to sorry to leave Orux for this issue, after years of pleasant use. Now, I'm trying Locus.

The reason why the track is stopped is the following message received by Android (oreo 8.1): "App Orux Map has been interrupted" (translated by the orignal Language)

NO other foreground applications are running at the same time.

Of course I don't know why, but it seems  related to Orux and not to Android.

I have the same issue with the recording track stopping suddenly after some times (30minutes) Oruxmaps is in background.

I had experienced this problem from Oreo 8.0 Update.



I have tried the version 2.7.14  but also this app stops the gps recording when the screen is turned off.

I have followed the setting tips but nothing changes.

--device is not in any power saving mode

--oruxmaps in in protected apps list

--oruxmaps can work after screen is locked

--FUSED LOCATIONS PROVIDER (clicked)
