I have seen other topics here that look similar, but they unfortunately didn't help.
Problem:
the donate version is considerably slower when loading a map and/or panning/zooming.
Steps to reproduce:
just find the same location in both versions, then pan/zoom out to the same level/area and wait till map tiles fill the screen. If free takes 5 seconds for that, then donate will take likely 15-20. (estimated, not measured).
Some background:
I recently installed donate/gp version to simplify updates. I have both versions now alongside each other. I've manually adjusted all settings in donate/GP to be same as I used to have in free. Including all folder settings - both versions point to the same maps/DEMs etc.
System:
OruxMaps 7.4.14 (same with earlier versions)
OruxMaps 7.4.17 GP (same with earlier versions)
OpenAndromaps with "Elevate" mapsforge theme
DEM Hill Shading ON
Samsung Galaxy S8
Android 8.0, rooted
I'd like to move over to donate, but for now it's unfeasible. I hope the issue can be solved somehow. If it's some setting that might interfere - please let me know.
I'd also appreciate any feedback if others see the same behaviour, or is it just me.
