Navigation floating button is taking  some place on the screen.

For a better visibility of the map it would be nice to have this button also added in right/left button bar

if it is possible.

I would like this bug resolved too, but it seems difficult to find a solution, it's a pity because I use it a lot.

Making long distance walking it's important for me to know how many kilometers there are

to the next village (for food or drink) or to the end of my trip.



A workaround I have found is to clear data ( in Android settings > App > Orux) and reload my profile.

Alas, after some time the bug reappears....

But according the website OKmap can convert to Oruxmaps format too...

OkMap include a feature to generate automatically compatible Garmin Custom Maps (KMZ format) and maps in OruxMaps format.

It is Android who decides how to show the toasts, depending on android version, theme,...

So, there's no way natively to get in Oruxmaps a dark toast with Oreo. What a pity!

May be it's not a bug



But I have two Devices :



Honor 6 with Marshmallow

Huawei P10 with Oreo

Same version of OruxMaps (7.3.4 Donate)

Default profile on both



When I measure distances along a route the display

of the results are opposite as shown in screenshot above.



One whith dark background and white font in Marshmallow

(whitch I prefer because it is more contrasted)

The other with white background and dark font in Oreo.

The tool work well for a while but after some time the distance in the middle of the display disappear.

This usually happens  after I stop and reopen Oruxmaps 4 or 5 times.

(In HUAWEI devices you can stop easily an app from running)

I don' tknow what you mean by "the first".

I have the green and red pointer that are deplayed correctly but distance is not shown any more

in the middle of the display.

"Measure distances" in route tool is a bit different, the measure is shown at the center of the screen.

It's better for readability.

You are selecting the wrong tool.

You can find "measure distances along track" tool in:

Route menu > Measures distances

It's a bit confusing because theses  tools are different but have the same name.

Suggestion for Orux : change name of one of the two items.

Perhaps something like : Distances in track

You may not have seen the message that appears, the distance and time are displayed 3 seconds, in a message. at the bottom of the display, each time you tap a point. You can tap consecutive points, and a new message is displayed.

Sorry for answring late, I was on holidays...

Unfortunately, it's not the case.

The mesure of the distance  along track is working well for some time and after it disapears.

N. B.: I updated to version 7.3.1 and until now I didn't notice this bug again.
