Hi,

you have to start the gps using GPS on screen button,

I tried that.

GPS was off.

Entered orux maps.

Turned on GPS from within app.

It requested new to turn on GPS, took me to android settings.

Turned on GPS.

I think it started moving the map but then i pinched the screen zoom, then stopped following.

If I'm on a trip the desert or mountains, I'll need to zoom in & zoom out.

Hi,

do you see the gps cursor (your current position) and the gps icon in the status bar?

I will repeat.

I did your suggestion.

I turned on GPS from within app.

It then moved the map in the direction of the GPS cursor.

But after I zoom in or zoom out (by pinching the screen with fingers), it stops moving screen.

The GPS cursor goes off the screen.

Are you on the outside? do you have good satellite coverage? You need to see the sky, in order the gps to work fine.

In OruxMaps status bar, next to the gps icon, do you see an icon with a hand? Then you have disabled the automatic map scrolling with the gps. On the right button bar you have a button with a hand that enables/disables this option.
