Battery drain when following route

Hi!



Using 7.1.0 version of OruxMaps with Samsung Galaxy S7.



I'm using Garmin- format offline maps (map file is almost 2Gb) and when following a GPX- route, I noticed that my phone battery drained to almost zero in under 2 hours.



Is this something that could be improved? I was hoping to get at least 6 hours of active usage...

Follow a route should not lead to a increase in battery consumption.



Does it always happen to you?



Your GPS settings? Is it a very long route?



Screen always on?

Hi!



Route was about 55 km and display always on (brightness 60-70%). GPS settings are out-of-the-box, so haven't touched those.



I tried today another ride with the new 7.1.2 version and during a 1.5h ride the battery went from 65% to 45%  but maybe that is more normal regards battery consumption?
