Convert from OZI to ORUX with OruxMapsDesktop

Hi,

I'm Italian young newbie.



I'have 2 files : .ozfx3 and .map, using demapper I got a file. png.

If i load .map file in OruxmapDesktop I receive this error "Unknown Datum! Select it manually"



My .map file contains :

What value should I choose?

Can I convert the datum from European 1950 to WGS84 directly into oziexplorer?

Hi, you have to select the european 1950 datum near to your location.

In OruxmapsDesktop I find  for Italy :

European 1950 (Italy - Sardinia)

European 1950 (Italy - Sicily)

European 1950 (mean for Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, West Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland)

my maps are north Italy.

what Datum should I choose?



perhaps the best choice is to convert the datum from European 1950 to wgs84.

Ozi does this convertion?

I am not sure if Ozi can change the datum and coordinates of the calibration file.



Try all the datums, select the best one for your position. remember that you have to refresh the map list (the round button in the map selector view) each time you change the content of the map calibration files.
