First off...amazing app!  Thank you!  I will be sure to donate when my project is completed.  This app blows away every other app I've tried on both Android and Apple platforms.  ** commence slow clap **

Using the following three layers on Google Earth, I've built a map for boaters on a dangerous lake (many hazards to navigate around).

1.  Tracks for boats to follow, color coded for how safe they are.

2.  Polygons (red) that outline every hazard that is visible or under water (rock shoals, stumps, etc)

3.  Way-points layer of campsites around the lake.

I've figured out how to alarm off waypoints, and that works well functionally within the app.

What I would like to do however, is alarm off the hazards layer of KML polygons.  This would include alarming by set distance from any point on an inferred line between any two waypoints on the polygon.  There are several reasons for wanting this vs alarming off leaving your route or alarming off proximity to waypoints.

1.  There are cases where you can be closely following your preferred route, but still be close to a hazard encompassed by a polygon, but a large distance away from any waypoint used in creating that polygon.

2.  Converting the polygons to a list of waypoints used to create those polygons also doesn't work.  I would have to ensure the polygons were made up of enough waypoints where no two waypoints were further from each other than the minimum alarm distance.  This is not a feasible approach.

OruxMaps loads the KML polygon layers beautifully by the way.  One of the few apps out there that have that capability.  It seems you're perhaps already inferring the lines of the polygon in some manner.  I'm curious if an alarm could be added for proximity to polygons?

Hello, and thank you;

Was preparing a specific version for navigation, but I think what you ask can be interesting in all versions, I will study.
