Error Exporting Tracks in KML / GPX / KMZ format to File

Oruxmaps v5.5.22 (german)

Android 4.4.2

Samsung S4 mini GT-I9195



I can not export tracks any more to KML / GPX / KMZ files.

I get the following error message doing this: "Fehler beim Speichern des Tracks in Datei" ("Error saving the track to a file").

My preferences are set in a way each track is saved as KML and GPX format, but the last files were saved before the latest Oruxmaps Update.



The Track Mailing function leads to the same error message.



Please fix that bug. If further information is needed, please tell me what you need to analyse the problem.

android 4.4.2 and above doesn't allow to the apps write in the external sdcard.



do you have OruxMaps pointing to the external sdcard in settings--tracks--tracks directory?

Yes, i have oruxmaps pointing to the external sdcard settings.

Does that mean, i have to store the files on the device itself or otherwise to downgrade back to android 4.2.x (if that is possible)?

The more I learn about android 4.4.2 the more I want to downgrade...

The internet community says, Android 4.4.2 does allow storing files on the SD card, but only in the folders / subfolders of the app itself.

And it is suggested to reinstall the app, if access problems like the one i described occur, as during the upgrade of android 4.4.2 the access rights of the app itself get lost. I will try to fix the problem by reinstalling oruxmaps and inform you about the result.

under android 4.4.2 OruxMaps only can write in Android/data/com.orux.oruxmaps/files/ folder.



that is the 'app itself' folder.
