Dear all,

just yesterday a friend recommended oruxmaps for my android tablet, and, what shall I say: it seems to be the app I always wanted :-)

Just one question: Is it possible to add a bunch of about 100 waypoints to the app? I have them on the PC as a GPX-file and just want to display them on the map.

In the (english and german) user manual I only found the information about how to create and manage waypoints inside oruxmaps, but not how to import them from an external source.

Where in the file system are they stored?

Thanks in advance,

Yes, go to the wpts. display, there is a button below to import gpx/kml files.

Ah, the button with the disk on it. Yes it did what I expected :D

Thank you!

Even import of waypoints works fine as I found out. But it's a bit tricky... after import you have to mark them all, then push the button "display waypoints on map" (or similar - I have the german language version).

And after deletion of the waypoints in the waypoint menu, they don't disappear from the map automatically. But there was also a button to removee them from the map.

A little neet to getting used to ;) but all in all you did a very good work with OruxMaps. I will install the "pay"-version this weekend.
