Just put the *.poi in the same directory as the corresponding *.map file, typically into ./oruxmaps/mapfiles/

Hi matt,

I don't think it's working. I can't see any changes on the map.

OK, maybe "importing POI" is the wrong terminology.

By adding that *.poi file to the same directory as the *.map file, you can use the new function to search POIs, in the map area visible in OruxMaps. Menue "Waypoint tools"->"Search im map (offline)". Enter a search text, optionally search only in certain POI categories. Result is a list of matching POIs. Then either

- click&hold one POI out of the list, and select "Create Wpt", "Show on map" or "Direct to".

or

- on the top right click on these layered squares, to show all as overlay in the map.

That's the only way i am aware of, to use the POI files with OruxMaps.
