Instead of having for each and everything to adjust the foldername to an available media I suggest to have one setting for foldername. All the others (mapfiles, mapstyles, tracklogs, ...) are fixed and relative to this one folder.

This simplifies handling for those, who don't have enough internal memory and have to adjust this.

Don't you think this is useful?

Yes;

There are some problems to solve, because the external storage where the app can write has a problem: when the app is uninstalled, those directories are automatically deleted.

Thanks for feedback.

Indeed : Deleting of this folder has to be prevented.

Deleting app on local SD-Card do have the same problem.

Any chance to set another "global folder" on external SD which is save?

Time to push this again to top ;)

Again, great tool - that's what I want to mentioned anyhow!

Hi

in the current 7.0.17 I still had to set every single path new (for mapfiles, dem files, tracks etc) instead of switching all paths at once.

The result is the same (if I did not miss one of the paths that is).

A global setting would be really helpful there.

It saves hassle, time, and errors, and

I could be sure to have changed ALL relevant paths.

Thanks,

Andy
