Hello! I installed oruxmaps android ap.

Installed Mobile Atlas Creator 1.8 on my computer so i easy could create maps and send it to my phone and use it with Oruxmaps android ap.

But i wonder.. Is it possible to edit the map i created on my computer?

Im planing to make a sea-chart (seacard?) with deepcordinats etc.

I've downloaded ozi-explorer, but i cant import the Oruxmap-file.

Any advice how to make it work?

Hi!

Why don't you make a Google Earth KML with the changes you want to add to the map?

I think that is better, because you can update new info.

Hi!

For example:

You can draw lines and polygons. For the text, you can put a waypoint (pushpin) with a transparent icon like this; http://static2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100822143346/runescape/images/2/21/1x1-pixel.png">http://static2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2 ... -pixel.png">http://static2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100822143346/runescape/images/2/21/1x1-pixel.png

In Google Earth you'll see this;

Allright, but  how did u draw the lines and polygons? What program do you use?

A guide with the steps would be great :)

ptriksjdin

Now i think i know how u did them. You made  waypoints, lines and polygons in google earth program.

I know how to make google earth map to a KAP file, so it works in Oruxmaps.

But i dont get how you manage to Import the google earth map to oruxmaps so it shows "googlemaps view" and not  satelliteview.

I prefer the googlemapsview.

How did u do it?=)

Seems like I'm also having problems convert the google earth into a kap file. :/

I'd be glad if you could download a "screen recorder" and show me step by step how you do it and upload the movie here.

I searched for screen recorder on google and found loads of em.

I would really appreciate it!

Hi!

Yes, is Google Earth (GE).

In GE, press the right-hand button on the mouse in "My Places" and you make a folder.

http://www.subirimagenes.com/imagen-googleearth056-8775440.html">

Now, you can draw lines and polygons. When you put a Waypoint, you should change the icon and the name:

http://www.subirimagenes.com/imagen-googleearthnuevo-8775449.html">

Add new icon to GE:

http://www.subirimagenes.com/imagen-icono062-8775453.html">

And put this URL: http://static2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100822143346/runescape/images/2/21/1x1-pixel.png">http://static2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2 ... -pixel.png">http://static2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100822143346/runescape/images/2/21/1x1-pixel.png

http://www.subirimagenes.com/imagen-googleearth063-8775456.html">

You can put more Waypoints with this icon.

All changes should be in the new folder.

Later, we'll save the changes;

Press the right-hand button on the mouse in the new folder and select "Save place as..." or similar (my GE is in Spanish):

Save the file:

Finally, you'll copy the KML or KMZ file to your phone.  ;)

You mustn't use this as track/route, you should load as KML: [Map button - Load KML Overlay - {Look for de KML file and you select it} ]

Ah now it works! Thanks alot!! :D:D

Its not KML, its KMZ, but maybe it dosnt matter?

Do u know if the map will follow my my boat (gps) or do i have to manually move the map while im sailing?

Maybe something to change in settings?

KML and KMZ (compressed) are similar.

If you start the GPS, your position will always be in the center of the map, you don't need move the map.
