Overzoom in maps?

Sometimes I'd like to be able to zoom beyond what is apparently allowed in the map view, even if the map becomes pixelated or even unreadable. For example if 2 waypoint names overlap each other (as they often do), it would be useful to zoom in more to see what each one says as they "separate" at higher zoom levels. I can't find a way to go beyond a certain level in zooming. Any suggestions? I'll try to attach a screen shot of my maximum zoom showing this problem, using topo4u map. Thanks!

I second this request. It is often that I have maps limited to level of zoom inadequate to follow details on track.

I would like to be able to zoom more, regardless of map, to see those details on track (waypoints, curves...)

I also think higher zoom levels should be available. My handheld GPSr zooms in to about 10 metres. This allows pre-loaded tracks to be followed more easily. Some maps I am using have a minimum zoom level of 90 metres shown on the map screen. Others show a minimum scale of 5 metres. it is difficult to see if you are on the track or not with a 90 metre map scale. Blurred map features dont matter.

The app can offer a digital zoom of 8x the maximum level offered by the map. From that value, strange artifacts may appear. Nor can the map be seen correctly.

If the map detail doesn't matter, why don't you activate and use the 'empty map' (global settings--maps), which offers a maximum zoom level?
