Hello. New user to OruxMaps - absolutely love it. I have yet to see another mapping program on android or ios that comes close to its customization options while also fully supporting offline maps.

Question:

Can Orux support KML styling options as a part of the KML Overlay feature in the program? For example, the link below provides 3 options for enhancing the styling/formatting/width/appearance/etc. of KML files.

https://developers.google.com/kml/articles/draworder">//https://developers.google.com/kml/articles/draworder

I can re-write my own KML files and make these features work in Google Earth but they will not appear in OruxMaps.  Is this too complex of styling to build in as part of Orux or potentially an option for a future version?

Please let me know when you get a chance, thanks.

Hi,

thanks;

But Oruxmaps doesn't support those features.

May be in a future version, but it will not be easy to implement.

Thanks for your reply, I understand that implementation can be quite difficult.

In the meantime, are there any options for controlling kml line width depending on altitude/zoom level with the kml overlay feature? I ask because I use a wide variety of zoom levels on my maps, and currently its not possible to find a kml width that isnt either too small at zoom level 14 or too wide at zoom level 8.

Let me know, obviously if its not possible I understand. Thanks again for the great app.
