Erratic compass

In the latest beta (6.4.0beta7) the compass is showing the right direction only if the phone is held vertical. If horizontal the compass is wrong.

This does not happen in the stable version.

Hi Orux,

Both, map and trip computer view.

6.0.7 is ok



Strange behaviour. When my phone is flat to ground the display is also not steady. When I tild now the phone 10 degree, the compass is turning 180 degree. Crazy.

My phone is s4a with kitKat.

I'm also having the problem randomly on a galaxy nexus with stock 4.3. When it happens I switch to gps status and it works fine. Going back to oruxmaps most of the time the problem doesn't happen any more for that session.

With beta 8, it seems to be fixed :)
