User field "Slope", how often refreshed

Hallo orux,

Sometime I want to know the slope of the way up. I have the feeling, this user field is only refreshed 2 times per minute. Then it jumps eg from 10deg  to 20deg. Is there a filter which could cause this behaviour?



Would it be possible to use the bt4 or ant+ speed sensor for calculating instead the gps?



Maybe you can give some information how it works.



Latest beta 6.5.7 is working good with android5.

Hi,



The app calculates the slope using the GPS/barometer altitude measurements, each 100 mts, because of the problem with accuracy using the instantaneous GPS altitude values.



We need altitude, speed is not useful.



But I will try to improve that value using another algorithm,

OK, good to hear.



My idea with the speed sensor was, that this sensor also delivers smooth distance values. There is eg. a nice user field "distance BT4"
