Hi !
Good morning.
I am new on this forum but already know OruxMaps for hiking.
I want to display in real time on a map the location/track of a kind of GPS tracker that will be inside a RC plane.
The application must run offline, without Internet access.
I am wondering if OruxMaps could do the trick ?
The tracker communicates by WiFi and I have full control on its features/functionalities.
Looking at the documentation I found that maybe the selection of SENSOR/AIS over IP could help.
I can setup a server in the tracker and maybe emulate what is needed.
The default address ais1.shipraiser.net:6492  seems down and I can found any information about these kind of servers.
Is there another way to communicate GPS coordinates to OruxMaps ?  websocket ??
Best regards
Francis

Has anyone ever used " SENSOR/AIS over IP" ??

I never tried it..... a but I guess it should work, as long as You are able to estabish a stable IP-connection.
Are You trying to install an AIS onto a drone and track its path on Your smartphone?

Yes, more or less  :)
I try to find an easy solution to display the position of the drone/plane on a smatphone/tablette/pc, when the coordinates are comming on a wifi link that I can manage. I want an off line solution. I seems more easy to find solution with bluetooth input.
