Hello can you give us more information ?
What storage are you using? Public Memeria (root) or private memory (Android /data)
What type of map ? In the header you put onlimapsoruces.xml true ?
Where do the app's directories point?
If you can, attach screenshots to help you.
Don't be discouraged, there is a fix.
Best regards

If we talk about onlimapsources.xml
One of the things must be taken into account.
1-This must always be in the memory of the terminal.
I mean:
-If the app does not have the permission to manage all the files, it must be saved in:
Android /data / com.orux.oruxmapsDonate / files / oruxmaps / mapfiles / customonlinemaps
-If the app has the permission to manage all files, it must be saved in:
storage / emulated / 0 / oruxmaps / mapfiles / customonlinemaps
It doesn't matter if you have transferred the files to the root memory or not, the app will search this directory for the onlimapsources.xml file.
With the database (oruxmapstracks.db) it happens Exactly the same

Many many thanks Tronpo!!

I deleted  original onlinemapsources.xml in folder Android /data / com.orux.oruxmapsDonate / files / oruxmaps / mapfiles and store my modified onlinemapsources.xml in folder  customonlinemaps!
Now it works. It must be only one onlinemapsources.xml, not 2 or more and not a custom xml file.

I'm glad it works for you, but I'll inform you, in recent versions of OruxMaps GP 1.7.X the app is able to support several files onlimapsources.xml
It has always accepted the original file + a custom one (customonlinemaps).
But now several custom files can coexist, you can even name them to your liking to differentiate them, always with extension .xml
You just have to meet the same condition as if it were a single file, not repeat any UID numbering in the .
I'll give you an example: I have my custom files spread across platforms or providers.

Plus the original file modified also only with the maps of my country.

Hello Tronpo,
just a small off topic question:
Where do you find information about new features like this one? Every time a new version is released I start searching in the settings and menus. Is there a detailed list of changes somewhere besides the sparse info "Other minor changes" in OM and the betas section of this forum?

Best regards
Martin

Hello mate, I have the same "disease" as you!! OruxMaps :) apart from the forum I am in an OruxMaps user group on telegram, it will be a pleasure for you to join the family.
https://t.me/OruxMapsGPS
I know the information about the onlinemapsources.xml specifically because it is my suggestion.
The rest I find out as you do and ask questions.OruxMaps change tracking is an invitation to research... If it were more explicit, users would realize everything that the developer of the app is working on.
Well, we have so much left to discover from OruxMaps fortunately.
You know if you find any news that is not in the Change control, tell us the
It would not be a bad idea to open a topic in the forum to communicate the news.
