I would ask you if it's possible to have the date of download near by the name of the map in to the offline map list.
I often don't remember the last time I have downloaded the single map and therefore how old it is.

It's a real shame because sometimes it happens that you have built a long route which then seems to be too long and you would like to shorten it.
Or it happens that you download a route from some site which turns out to be too long for your use and you want to shorten it. In both of these cases I don't think it's possible to load a route as if it were a track, then shorten it and finally save it as a route.
However, Oruxmaps is still my best tracking app!

THE PROBLEM is that you can only change the route by lengthening it and not by shortening it. That is, while it is possible to lengthen the route by adding new sections, it is not equally possible to cut away pieces if you want to shorten the route.Or, at least, I haven't figured out how to do it.

I know that it is possible to edit a route by loading the route; clicking on the start (or end) of the route; then choose edit; then you can only choose between the options: "extend with a new search" or "extend manually".
I ask if it is also possible to shorten a route, as you can do with a track (you can circle by hand the final stretch you want to cut and delete it).

A partire dalla versione 10.6 a me non funziona il comado che toglie / aggiunge l'ombreggiatura. Uso mappe Openandromaps e in passato la funzione che aggiunge l'ombreggiatura funzionava perfettamente. Qualcuno mi può aiutare? (v. 10.6.4beta6 Android 14 Samsung Galaxy S23 plus)

Starting more or less with version 10.6.2, I have noticed a misbehaviour in the app: when I follow a route, the voice warning is given too often. I have set it so that the warning should only be given when the distance exceeds 40 m, stop when the distance is greater than 80 m and in any case not repeat the warning more than once. On the contrary, the warning is given even when the distance to the route is minimal (a few metres, which corresponds to the GPS position detection error) and is given many times in succession within a few seconds.

Over time I have added various "Mapsforge map styles" and now have about a dozen of them, but they are all in a chaotic order.
I wonder if it is possible to insert a function that allows you to order the list of "Mapsforge map styles" as you like, in the same way as the order of voice alerts.

IMHO this is the very ultimate feature lacking in Oruxmaps app!
I realize that it would be very difficult to implement but it would really be the most important feature to add both when Oruxmaps is used for car driving and when it is used for outdoor sports (walking, mountaineering, cycling , etc.)

I agree that this feature would be useful. E.g.: the Freizeitkarte map works with its own theme, while the Openandromaps map works with the Elevate theme. The application of themes to the maps, which have not been developed specifically for them, is sometimes possible, sometimes impossible, sometimes inadvisable because the interpretation of the data is wrong.

I updated to the beta version 10.1.10 Beta 1 and, in the case of a car track, the route track function inserts the waypoints correctly again.  However, if I use the track route function with the walking parameter, even now the waypoints are no longer inserted when I click ok.

Me ne vengono in mente al volo un paio:
- quando deve pronunciare l'orario attuale dice "sette ore, trenta minuti" invece di "sono le sette e trenta" o "ore 7 e trenta"
- nel ritmo medio dice "minuti per chilometri" invece di "minuti per chilometro"
- dice "altitudine in salita" invece di "dislivello in salita"
- dice "altitudine in discesa" invece di dislivello in discesa"

I would like to correct the Italian translation of some of the voice prompts that the app gives when following a track. Can anyone tell me how these fixes can be made? How and where are the warning texts (eg concerning average speed, altitude, time, etc.) stored?

After taking a photo, you need to save the image by clicking the checkmark, otherwise the image will be deleted.

I recently noticed the same behavior several times even though the GPS showed I was on track. So it seems that the problem is Oruxmaps and not GPS.
